PART 1 - GENERAL<br />
1.1 SECTION REQUIREMENTS<br />
A. Summary:<br />
.1 Dock levelers, dock bumpers, dock door seals, loading lights and associated electrical and<br />
plumbing work.<br />
1.2 SUBMITTALS<br />
A. Product Data and Shop Drawings.<br />
B. Shop Drawings to indicate dimensions of pit and required clearances, details of equipment and<br />
electrical requirements.<br />
1.3 QUALITY ASSURANCE<br />
A. Regulatory Requirements: Comply with applicable requirements of ANSI/ASME MH14.1 for<br />
construction and operation of dock levelers.<br />
1.4 WARRANTY<br />
A. Warranty for Dock Levelers:<br />
.1 Structural Assembly: Ten years.<br />
.2 Hydraulic System: Five years.<br />
PART 2 - PRODUCTS<br />
2.1 MANUFACTURER<br />
A. Use dock equipment manufactured by Kelly Dock Systems or approved alternate.<br />
2.2 EQUIPMENT<br />
A. Dock Levelers (hydraulic): Electric hydraulic type, load capacity 80,000 lbs, 72 x 99 inches length,<br />
automatic 16 inch lip extension.<br />
.1 Provide pit safety strut and electrical outlet for maintenance; toe guards and cross traffic<br />
support for safety.<br />
.2 Self-Forming Pan: Manufacturer's standard prefabricated, self-forming steel form system for<br />
poured-in-place construction of concrete pit.<br />
.3 Night Locks: Manufacturer's standard means to prevent extending lip and lowering ramp<br />
when overhead doors are locked.<br />
.4 Interlock: Leveler will not operate while overhead door is in closed position.<br />
B. Dock Bumpers: Moulded one-piece rubber of uniform size, 4 inches deep x 10 inches wide x 18<br />
inches high.<br />
C. Dock Door Seals:<br />
.1 Seals on three sides with adjustable curtain top curtain, shelter seal of diagonal projection<br />
pads, 12-15 inches wide with 4-6 inches seal beyond dock bumpers, high density<br />
polyurethane foam, continuously bonded to kiln-dried pressurized wood frames and covered<br />
with high-wear waterproof 40 oz. fabric<br />
