Luang Prabang is one of the most beautiful<br />

and engaging towns in Asia. Surrounded<br />

by forest-covered mountains and situated<br />

at the confluence of the Khan and Mekong<br />

Rivers, this World Heritage town has a<br />

tranquil, old-world charm that enchants all<br />

who visit.<br />

Day 1: Begin your exploration at some<br />

of the town’s most beautiful temples,<br />

followed by a fun Lao cooking class and<br />

the chance to eat your creations.<br />

Day 2: Visit the Royal Palace. Cruise up<br />

the Mekong to the mysterious Pak Ou<br />

Caves, and ascend Mount Phou Si for<br />

sunset views.<br />

Day 3: Rise early to witness the<br />

marvelous sight of robed Buddhist monks<br />

collecting alms at dawn. Follow this with<br />

a swim at the Kuang Si Falls, stopping<br />

en route to learn about Laos’ diverse<br />

ethnic groups at the Traditional Arts and<br />

Ethnology Museum. The afternoon is free<br />
