No matter what your interests, this brochure will allow you to tailor your own Handmade Holiday in Indochina.
Each option on the following pages has been specially selected by our local experts. Rather than listing every
hotel in a town along with the standard tourist fare we have handpicked the best of every destination to allow
you to craft a holiday that suits your interests and budget.
Touring
Footloose Adventures – Footloose Adventures give
you an independent exploration without all the hassles,
so you can put all your energy toward getting the most
out of your holiday. It gives you a basic framework from
which to build your ultimate experience, and offers great
value for money for travellers on any budget. We can
even book your international airfares.
City stays – A great way to get to know a new city,
these all-inclusive packages include accommodation
with breakfast, return transfers and touring that covers
the major sights in Indochina’s most popular cities, with
some of our special touches. City stays are great value
on their own, or as part of a longer trip.
Private tours – Our private tours are the ideal way
to get to know a destination using our expert local
knowledge. We provide all transportation in private
air-conditioned vehicles, so you don’t need to worry.
You can choose the standard of accommodation and
each day you’ll meet your local guide, handpicked by
us, to show you around their hometown. All entrance
fees are included, so you can concentrate on having the
experience of a lifetime.
Small Group Journeys – On a Small Group Journey
you will share Indochina’s most exciting destinations with
a maximum of 15 like-minded travellers. Small Groups
provide the flexibility of independent travel minus the
hassle, and provide real opportunities to experience the
culture, meet the people, and savour the cuisine.
Day tours
Join in day tours – Our join in day tours are a great
way to explore with other travellers. Groups consist of
up to 12 passengers to share your day with. Each group
is led by one of our expert English-speaking local guides.
Travel on our comfortable air-conditioned vehicles and
make new friends. All entrance fees are included, so you
don’t have to worry.

Private day tours – Our private day tours are the
ideal way to get to know a destination using our expert
local knowledge. We provide all transportation in
private air-conditioned vehicles. Meet your local guide,
handpicked by us, to show you around their hometown.
All entrance fees are included, so you can concentrate
on having the experience of a lifetime.

Design your own day tours – Our design your own
day tours let you and your expert local guide put together
your own private full or half day tour to fit your own
interests. Each tour offers you a choice of sites to visit –
your guide and driver will take care of the rest. Make the
most of your time and the knowledge of our experienced
local guides who will help design the perfect tour for you.
Prior to departing, your guide will meet you at your hotel
and talk you through the various options to ensure you
make the most of your day.
Inclusions: Touring and transport to a specific number
of sites • air-conditioned vehicle and driver • local
English-speaking guide. (Entrance fees not included)
Tour Gradings
Easy – Suitable for people of all ages with average
fitness and mobility.
Moderate – Suitable for people of reasonable fitness,
with a keen interest in exploring.
Adventurous – Suitable for people of reasonable
fitness, with a keen interest in exploring (these options
may include some long road journeys, walking and
occasionally basic accommodation).
Hotels
Hotel Gradings
No Frills – Comfortable rooms and usually limited
public areas. Generally a limited range of facilities.
Standard – Smart, comfortable accommodation with
a good range of room and public facilities.
Superior – Generally a wide range of room and public
facilities and high service standards. Sometimes part
of an international chain, may be locally rated five
star, but lacking the fuller range of facilities offered at
deluxe hotels.
Deluxe – An extensive range of facilities – dining,
recreational and other. Often part of an international
chain, offering high standards of service, often ‘formal’.
Heritage – These properties are historic and include
some of Asia’s finest French-colonial style hotels.
Out of the ordinary – Does not fit into any other
category and might be an ecolodge or homestay
experience.
Facilities
Unless otherwise specified, all hotels have
air-conditioning and television. Other important facilities
in addition to these are listed throughout under the
heading Extra Facilities.
Specials
As many fantastic specials come in throughout the year,
please contact us for current special offers. Some hotels
also offer honeymoon bonuses and family offers. If these
are not listed, please ask us if they are available.
Child prices
Generally, children under 12 stay for free if sharing
with two adults on a room only basis in existing bedding,
but charges may apply for breakfast. Some hotels have
special deals for families including free extra beds.
