Workplace, Health, Safety and Compensation Commission
The Workplace, Health, Safety and Compensation Commission (the Commission) is considered to be a form of trust. For the
most recent fiscal year ended 31 December 2009, the Commission reported a net fund deficiency of $105.9 million
(31 December 2008 - net fund deficiency of $187.9 million) and an accumulated operating deficit of $104.7 million (31
December 2008 - $96.5 million). Under legislation, no liability on behalf of the Province has been established.
