NOTES TO THE SCHEDULE OF REVENUE AND EXPENSE BY SECTOR<br />
For the year ended 31 March 2010<br />
1. Sectors<br />
The sectors identified above are consistent with the presentation <strong>of</strong> the Consolidated Statement <strong>of</strong> Operations <strong>and</strong> the<br />
2009-10 Estimates. Each sector includes the revenues <strong>and</strong> expenses <strong>of</strong> the applicable departments <strong>and</strong> the<br />
organizations in the <strong>Government</strong> reporting entity which report to their respective department. Certain amounts have<br />
been allocated on a systematic basis. Refer to Schedule 11 - Expenses by Department for a list <strong>of</strong> departments<br />
included within each sector.<br />
2. Sector Revenue<br />
Sector revenues include revenues generated from within the <strong>Government</strong> reporting entity. These inter-sector<br />
transactions are eliminated upon consolidation. Total eliminations pertaining to revenues amount to $41.5 million<br />
resulting in total revenue <strong>of</strong> $7,296.8 million as per the Consolidated Statement <strong>of</strong> Operations.<br />
3. Sector Expense<br />
Sector expenses include expenses incurred from within the <strong>Government</strong> reporting entity. These inter-sector<br />
transactions are eliminated upon consolidation. Total eliminations pertaining to expenses amount to $41.5 million<br />
resulting in total expense <strong>of</strong> $7,329.4 million as per the Consolidated Statement <strong>of</strong> Operations.
