Minutes <strong>of</strong> Meeting Held June 25, <strong>2012</strong><br />

A meeting <strong>of</strong> the Licensing/Permit Committee was held on June 25, <strong>2012</strong> in Room 202 <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Kenosha</strong> Municipal<br />

Building.<br />

The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Chairman Downing.<br />

At roll call, the following members were present: Alderpersons Kennedy, Wilson and Schwartz. Alderperson<br />

Juliana arrived at 6:35. Deputy <strong>City</strong> Attorney Matthew Knight was present.<br />

It was moved by Alderperson Wilson, seconded by Alderperson Schwartz to approve the minutes <strong>of</strong> the<br />

regular meeting held June 11th, and the special meeting held June 18th, <strong>2012</strong>.<br />

NOTE: All licenses and permits are subject to withholding <strong>of</strong> issuance by the <strong>City</strong> Clerk as specified in Section<br />

1.045 <strong>of</strong> the Code <strong>of</strong> General Ordinances.<br />

1. Applications for new Operator's (Bartender) licenses, with a recommendation from the <strong>City</strong> Attorney to<br />

grant, subject to:<br />

- 20 demerit points: - 40 demerit points:<br />

a. Angelia Wade d. Christopher Harper<br />

b. Kelly Leberecht - 60 demerit points:<br />

c. Becky Parker e. Michael Gonzales<br />

It was moved by Alderperson Kennedy, seconded by Alderperson Wilson, to concur with the<br />

recommendation <strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong> Attorney. Motion carried unanimously.<br />

2. Applications for new Operator's (Bartender) licenses, with a recommendation from the <strong>City</strong> Attorney to<br />

deny, based on:<br />

- material police record:<br />

a. Rachel Rorie<br />

b. Jacy Kennedy<br />

Applicants were present and spoke. Alderperson Kennedy spoke. It was moved by Alderperson<br />

Kennedy, seconded by Alderperson Juliana, to separate. Motion carried unanimously. It was moved<br />

by Alderperson Kennedy, seconded by Alderperson Wilson to defer a. to the meeting on July 9, <strong>2012</strong>.<br />

Motion carried unanimously. It was moved by Alderperson Kennedy, seconded by Alderperson<br />

Juliana to deny b. based on material police record. Motion carried unanimously.<br />

3. Application <strong>of</strong> Brigett Hammond, for a new Operator's (Bartender) license, with a recommendation from<br />

the <strong>City</strong> Attorney to defer.<br />

It was moved by Alderperson Juliana, seconded by Alderperson Kennedy to defer to the meeting on<br />

July 9, <strong>2012</strong>. Motion carried unanimously.<br />

4. Application <strong>of</strong> Jennifer Roche for a new Operator's (Bartender) license, with a recommendation from<br />

the <strong>City</strong> Attorney to defer. (Deferred from the meeting on June 11, <strong>2012</strong>).<br />

It was moved by Alderperson Juliana, seconded by Alderperson Wilson to deny, based on material<br />

police record. Motion carried unanimously.<br />

5. Applications for renewal Operator's (Bartender) licenses, with a recommendation from the <strong>City</strong> Attorney<br />

to grant, subject to:<br />

-0 demerit points:<br />

f. Virinder Gill<br />

- 20 demerit points:<br />
