Article II
OBJECT
The object of Alzafar Shriners shall be to exemplify, propagate,
and disseminate Shrinedom in all its attributes throughout its jurisdiction
and to instill the tenets thereof in the hearts of mankind.
Section 1. Petitions

Membership
Members shall be elected upon petition submitted upon the form
and in the manner prescribed by the Imperial Council.
Section 2. Prerequisite for Membership
The Temple may not accept a petition for a candidate nor retain
anyone as a member unless he is in good standing as a Master Mason
of a lodge recognized by or in amity with the Conference of Grand
Masters of North America. The Temple may not add to or take from
the qualifications for membership in the Temple as fixed by the Bylaws
of the Imperial Council.

Section 3. Residence
(a) A petitioner must be an actual resident for at least 6 months in
the jurisdiction of the Temple, provided, however, that the Temple
may receive and act upon the petition of one whose residence is not
within the jurisdiction of another Temple.
(b) Actual residence is defined as the place where the applicant in
good faith makes his home.
