Membership in the Temple, a member must meet the prerequisite
requirements as established by the Bylaws of the Imperial Council.

Section 12. Hospital Assessment
(a) The annual levy for the Hospitals shall be as determined by the
Imperial Council, payable in advance before January 1st each year by
all members, including:
(1) Candidates received during the year;
(2) Life members; and
(3) Members reinstated or affiliated.
(b) The hospital levy is a trust fund, and the Temple shall place it in
a separate account and remit it to the Imperial Recorder as provided
in the By-Laws of the Imperial Council.
(c) A member may purchase a permanent contributing membership
in the Hospitals upon the payment of a sum determined by the Imperial
Council and shall receive a certificate therefore from the Recorder.
The Recorder shall enter the exemption on his records and
thereafter the member shall be exempt from all future hospital levies.
All sums received by the Recorder for Permanent Contributing Memberships
and voluntary permanent subscriptions in the Hospitals shall
be forthwith remitted by the Recorder to the Imperial Recorder.
Section 13. Dues Cards
Upon the payment of his annual dues, hospital levy, and assessments,
if any, each member shall be issued a Shrine Card for the current
year in accordance with the provisions of the By-Laws of the Imperial
Council.
Section 14. Temple Assessments
(a) No assessment may be levied except in strict accordance with
Imperial Council Bylaws Section 332.7.
(b) Imperial Approval. If the temple is contemplating an assessment
it must first submit the proposal to the Imperial Potentate requesting
