Anchor Steam Beer Tour<br />

The brewers at the Anchor Steam Beer brewery in San Francisco have agreed to show us how they make<br />
their beer and why they believe it to be the best beer on the planet. Then, to prove their point, they will let<br />
us taste the result <strong>of</strong> their efforts in their beautiful tasting room. (Note: their samples are generous.)<br />
The tour will start at the brewery at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, September 28 th and, with the tasting, will last<br />
about two hours. Consequently, we will be leaving <strong>Sacramento</strong> at 8:30 A.M. for a leisurely drive to San<br />
Francisco. The meeting place is the Tower Theatre parking lot, Broadway and Land Park Drive (16th<br />
Street), behind the theatre, across the street from Starbucks.<br />
At the conclusion <strong>of</strong> the tour/tasting we will have lunch in the area, or, for that matter, you are free to have<br />
lunch anywhere you wish. It is San Francisco, after all, and the sky’s the limit on good eating there.<br />
Since these tours are very popular, and sell out early, the good folks at the brewery have requested that<br />
we notify them the number <strong>of</strong> our party by September 1 st . We have only ten spots available, so get your<br />
requests in early.<br />
