Broadband Data Improvement Act (BDIA)
Consistent with the Broadband Data Improvement Act of 2008, the OAISD will be educating all of our
students about internet safety; including appropriate on-line behavior, interacting with other individuals
on social networking websites and in chat rooms, and cyber-bullying awareness and response.
Protecting Children in the 21st Century Act
In compliance with the Protecting Children in the 21st Century Act of 2009, the OAISD created an
Administrative Guideline to its existing policy (which is “policy” per another Board policy) that ensures
educating students on internet safety including appropriate on-line behavior, interacting with other
individuals on social networking websites and in chat rooms, and cyber-bullying awareness and response.
