Incarnate Word Academy Annual Fund
Support the Spirit of the Word Annual Fund
IWA’s Spirit of the Word Annual Fund supplements the
school’s operating budget, helping to keep tuition affordable
for our families, while maintaining excellent academic
standards. The actual cost of an IWA education for the
2008-2009 school year is $12,500. With tuition at $7,600,
there is a $4,900 deficit per student. If this amount was
added into this year’s annual budget the sum would be a
staggering $1,347,500. Therefore, we are making a direct
appeal, led by Co-Chairs Paul and Kathy Simpson, to the
entire IWA community to consider a gift to this year’s annual
fund to help close this tuition gap. Funds raised will
fulfill additional needs not possible with tuition dollars
alone, such as facility improvements, curriculum enhancements,
staff professional development, and funding
for scholarships.
Since this is the premier year of the Spirit of the Word Annual
Fund, our goal is not based on a dollar amount but
on 100% participation. Everyone in our IWA family consisting
of alumnae, parents, faculty and staff will receive
a letter asking for support. We encourage everyone to
make a gift or a pledge. Gifts of all sizes make a difference
and participation at any level is appreciated. We only ask
that your donation be paid in full by June 30, 2009.
Please remember: If you work for a company with a
matching gift program, you may be able to double your
contribution and increase your benefits. Ask your employer
if they will match your gift to IWA and please enclose a
completed matching gift form with your donation.
