Spirit in the air
Masquerading for IWA
Spirit Week Fall 2008 included a Falcon Olympics complete
with games and contests, Decade Day, Twin Day
and Crazy Sock Day. At the end of the week, the Big and
Little Sisters (seniors and freshmen) went on an outing
to the Museum of Natural Science, while the Angels and
Archangels (sophomores and juniors) did service projects
at the Houston Food Bank and the Center Serving Persons
with Mental Retardation.

It’s a rare thing when students can say they’ve seen Sarah
Palin, Cleopatra, Frida Kahlo, an Olympian, and a peacock
roam the halls of IWA. On Halloween, students and staff
were allowed to change into a costume for the annual
Halloween Carnival, where they enjoyed games and food.
The carnival was a fundraiser for the science club and
raised $560.
