COMMUNITY LIFE
Warm welcome for new Falcons
Freshman Orientation, which happens a day before the
first day of school, is a time when new students learn
where their classrooms are and how to open their lockers.
It is also the time when members of the IWA Corps of
Representatives welcome freshman and transfer students
into the community with ice breakers, games, and skits.
This fall, students put on a fashion show—complete with
wigs and wild-colored socks—demonstrating
“what not to wear” at IWA.

Building the walls of community
To prepare for planning events and organizing the student
body for the school year, the IWA Student Council
held a lock-in on campus over the summer. Students had
a traditional sleep-over in the library and enjoyed games,
watched movies and participated in a scavenger hunt.
The following day the group took part in team building
activities with a workshop lead by Mr. Tommy Calais.
