Dr. Thornburg has worked <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> field of <strong>education</strong> <strong>technology</strong><br />

<strong>for</strong> decades. In addition to present<strong>in</strong>g workshops and<br />

presentations at conferences and districts, he teaches PhDlevel<br />

courses on <strong>in</strong>structional <strong>technology</strong> <strong>for</strong> Walden University.<br />

He has spoken at FETC many times and always provides fresh <strong>in</strong>sights. In addition<br />

to his work <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> U.S., David also works <strong>in</strong> Brazil where he is <strong>in</strong>volved with many<br />

possible future through <strong>the</strong> use of advanced <strong>education</strong><br />

technologies. They do this by guid<strong>in</strong>g teachers to become com<strong>for</strong>table with handheld<br />

devices, tablet devices, legacy technologies and with a new role as a classroom<br />

advocate <strong>for</strong> learn<strong>in</strong>g. Brent is a well-known speaker, <strong>in</strong>structor and consultant.<br />

Julie Young, President and CEO of Florida Virtual School (FLVS),<br />
