Concurrent Sessions<br />

FETC is known worldwide <strong>for</strong> its outstand<strong>in</strong>g program. This year’s conference will<br />

feature 200+ Concurrent and BYOD Sessions address<strong>in</strong>g current and emerg<strong>in</strong>g<br />

technologies, as well as best practices developed through research and actual<br />

classroom experience. For a complete list<strong>in</strong>g of session descriptions, visit <strong>the</strong><br />

<strong>in</strong><strong>for</strong>mation booth or room S220A <strong>for</strong> a hard copy or utilize <strong>the</strong> FETC 2013<br />

Concurrent BYOD Sessions<br />

Enhanced <strong>in</strong>ternet bandwidth at OCCC is mak<strong>in</strong>g more Br<strong>in</strong>g Your Own Device<br />

(BYOD) sessions possible! BYOD means participants utilize <strong>the</strong>ir own laptops,<br />

tablets, mobile or smart devices <strong>in</strong> each session. It is not necessary to have a<br />

device to participate but speakers will provide <strong>in</strong>structions and <strong>resource</strong>s to allow<br />

audience members to <strong>in</strong>teract with <strong>the</strong>ir content dur<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> sessions.<br />

Featured Sessions<br />

FETC offers Featured Sessions address<strong>in</strong>g best practices, <strong>education</strong>al<br />

breakthroughs, curriculum development through research and actual classroom<br />

experiences. Featured Sessions focus<strong>in</strong>g on hot topics and <strong>technology</strong> trends will<br />

be held dur<strong>in</strong>g each of <strong>the</strong> Concurrent Sessions and will be noted <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> program.<br />

All Featured Sessions are led by an array of nationally recognized speakers<br />

present<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong>ir areas of expertise.<br />

Poster Sessions: New This Year<br />

This year FETC has <strong>in</strong>troduced one-hour poster sessions <strong>in</strong>to our conference<br />

program. This new feature at FETC will highlight <strong>in</strong>novative schools and districts<br />

that have implemented an exemplary <strong>technology</strong> <strong>in</strong>tegration project with success.<br />

Case studies were selected as poster presentations based on <strong>the</strong>ir <strong>in</strong>terest,<br />

relevance and value to <strong>the</strong> FETC community. Presenters post <strong>the</strong>ir displays <strong>for</strong><br />

attendee view<strong>in</strong>g and are on hand with <strong>the</strong>ir displays <strong>for</strong> discussion and network<strong>in</strong>g<br />

dur<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> assigned session times.<br />

These sessions provide opportunities <strong>for</strong> attendees to engage <strong>in</strong> <strong>in</strong>-depth, <strong>in</strong><strong>for</strong>mal<br />

discussions with <strong>the</strong> presenters. Visit <strong>the</strong> posters <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> Exhibit Hall 1500 Aisle on<br />

Wednesday, January 30, 2013 from 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm and Thursday, January 31,<br />

2013 from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm.<br />
