THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE IMPORTANT. PLEASE READ THEM CAREFULLY AND RETAIN FOR FUTURE REFERENCE. 

Before assembling your wardrobe... 

Unpack all components / fittings and identify them against the components and fittings lists. 

Do not discard any packaging until you are certain you have all the correct panels and fittings. 

If any items are damaged or missing, please contact your retailer or Mamas & Papas on 0870 8307700. 

Allow plenty of time and space when beginning the construction of your wardrobe.

STEP 1 

Insert eight short dowels 

(A) into the holes in the 

side edges of the base 

(1). 

Insert six short dowels 

into the holes in the side 

edges of the fixed shelf 

(2). 

Insert two short dowels 

into the holes in the side 

edge of the top rail (3). 

You may need to gently 

tap the dowels into the 

panels using a light 

hammer.

Screw seven cam studs 

(C) into the holes in the 

underside of the top (4). 

Screw three cam studs 

into the holes in the 

inside face of the 

bottom rail (5). 

Use a cross-head 

screwdriver to tighten 

the cam studs.

Insert seven cams (D) 

into the large holes in 

the underside of the 

bottom panel (1). 

STEP 3 

Insert four cams into the 

large holes in the 

underside of the fixed 

shelf (2). 

Insert three cams into 

the large holes in the 

inside face of the top rail 

(3).

Ensure that the arrow on 

the cams point towards 

the connecting holes.

Attach the top rail (3) to 

the top (4). 

STEP 4 

Align the dowels in the 

top rail and the cam 

studs in the underside of 

the top with the relevant 

holes and slot the 

components together. 

Ensure the cams in the 

top rail face towards the 

back of the wardrobe. 

Push down firmly until 

the front rail touches the 

underside of the top.

Tighten the cams by 

turning them clockwise 

using a flat-head 

screwdriver.

Screw sixteen cam studs 

(C) into the small holes 

in the inside faces of 

both pairs of the front 

(7/8) and back (9/10) 

legs.

Insert sixteen long 

dowels (B) into the 

holes in the edges of the 

two side panels (6). 

You may need to use a 

light hammer to fully 

insert the dowels. 

Insert sixteen cams (D) 

into the large holes in 

the sides of the two side 

panels.

Slot the left front leg (7) 

and the left back leg 

(10) onto the side panel 

(6) as shown in the 

diagram. 

Tighten the cams in the 

side panel by turning 

them clockwise using a 

flat-head screwdriver.

Repeat the process for 

the other side panel and 

legs.

Attach the bottom rail 

(5) to the base (1). 

STEP 7 

Align the dowels in the 

base and the cam studs 

in the bottom rail with 

the relevant holes and 

slot the components 

together. Ensure the top 

edge of the bottom rail 

is flush with the top side 

of the base.

Push the components 

firmly together until the 

bottom rail touches the 

base. Then tighten the 

cams by turning them 

clockwise using a flathead 

screwdriver.

STEP 8 

Insert six short dowels 

(A) into the holes in the 

top edges of the side 

panels.

Attach the six hinge 

plates (E) to the inside 

of the front legs of each 

side panel. 

Ensure that the slot in 

the hinge plates face 

towards the front of the 

wardrobe. 

Screw in the two preattached 

screws in each 

hinge plate into the 

holes in the front legs of 

the side panels. 

Tighten the screws using 

a cross-head screwdriver.

STEP 10 

Attach the two hanger 

brackets (F) to the inside 

faces of the side panels. 

Locate the two sets of 

two pilot holes on the 

inside face of the side 

panels. Use two screws 

(G) to attach each 

hanger bracket and 

tighten them using a 

cross-head screwdriver.

with the relevant holes

Tighten the two cams in 

the base by turning them 

clockwise using a flathead 

screwdriver.

Before attaching the 

back panels (8) you must 

check that the wardrobe 

is square. 

Measure from the 

bottom corner of one 

side panel to the top 

corner of the opposite 

side panel, A to A. 

STEP 17 

Now measure the 

opposite diagonal, B to 

B. If the measurements 

are unequal then the 

wardrobe is not square. 

To square the wardrobe, 

gently push the top 

corner of the longest 

diagonal towards the 

shortest top corner and 

re-measure, continue 

until equal (a 2-3mm 

difference is acceptable). 

STEP 18 

Slot the two back panels 

(11) into the recesses in 

the back legs of the side 

panels and the top. 

Ensure that the veneered 

sides face into the 

carcass and that the top 

and bottom edges of the 

back panels are flush 

with the top and base. 

Slide the H-section (12) 

onto the adjoining edges 

of the back panels. Push 

the H-section up until it 

reaches the underside of 

the top.

Fix the outside edges of 

the back panels to the 

carcass with the nails 

(H). 

Hammer the nails 

through the outside 

edges of the back panels 

into the side panels, top 

and base. FIx the corners 

in position first, then 

hammer in the remaining 

nails.

Fix the four brackets (I) 

to the underside, corners 

of the base (1) and 

inside the front and back 

legs. 

Screw in four screws (G) 

to secure each bracket 

and tighten them using a

wardrobe upright. 

Insert the four shelf 

support studs (J) into 

the holes in the inside 

face of the left and right 

side panels. Ensure they 

are all at the same level.

Lower the adjustable 

shelf (13) onto the shelf 

support studs. Ensure 

that the back edge of 

the adjustable shelf is 

flush with the back

Attach the six hinge arms 

(K) to the doors (15). 

Push the hinge arms into

align the holes in the 

sides of the hinge arms 

with the pilot holes in the

doors using a cross-head 

screwdriver.

Fit the four door 

bumpers (L) to the 

inside, centre corners of 

the doors (15). 

Measure 20mm in from 

the edges of the doors 

and mark the position 

with a soft pencil. 

Push the four door 

bumpers into the corners 

of the doors then use a 

light hammer to knock 

them in.

STEP 25 

Attach the doors to the 

wardrobe by sliding the 

hinge arms (K) onto the 

hinge plates (E). Slot the 

ends of the hinge arms 

over the centre screws in 

the hinge plates and 

tighten them using a

Tip: Fit the top hinge 

first and work down.

Adjusting the angle of 

the door 

Loosen screw A on each 

of the hinge plates. 

Turn screw B on each of 

the hinge plates either 

clockwise or anticlockwise 

to adjust the 

gap between the back of 

the door and the side 

panels.

Adjusting the height of 

the door 

Loosen screws C on all 

of the hinge plates. 

Lift or lower the door 

into the desired position 

and tighten all of the 

screws.

Attach the two handles 

(16) to the doors. 

Slot the two handle 

screws (M) through the 

holes in the doors from 

the inside. Tighten the 

screws into the handles 

using a cross-head 

screwdriver.

STEP 29 

Ensure that all fittings 

are correctly tightened. 

The wardrobe is now 

ready to have the wall 

strap attached. 

STEP 30 

The wall attachment 

strap is used to secure 

the wardrobe to the 

wall to prevent it from 

falling over. 

Working at the back of 

the wardrobe, fix the 

wall strap (N) to the 

wardrobe. 

Thread the wall strap 

screw (O) through the 

washer (P) and then 

through the end of the 

wall strap and into the 

top (4). Tighten the 

screw using a cross-head 

screwdriver. 

Do not fix the wall 

attachment strap to 

any other component. 

Secure the other end of 

the wall attachment 

strap to the wall.

FIXING THE WALL ATTACHMENT STRAP TO A WALL 

• THE WALL ATTACHMENT STRAP IS ONLY INTENDED TO BE USED WITH THE MAMAS 

& PAPAS PRODUCT THAT IT IS SUPPLIED WITH. 

• Never attempt to modify or change the wall attachment strap in any way. Never use any 

other fittings for attaching the strap to your furniture than those supplied. 

• Never use the screw provided to attach the wall attachment strap to the wall. 

NO WALL ATTACHMENT FITTINGS ARE SUPPLIED. This is because the type of 

fittings required to attach the wall attachment strap to the chosen wall is determined by 

the walls composition. 

If you are in any doubt about the correct type of fittings to use when attaching your 

wall attachment strap, consult a professional before attempting to fix it to the wall. 

An incorrect installation may be dangerous. 

• The wall attachment strap must not be used to replace any other fitting supplied with 

your piece of furniture. 

• For safety reasons we always recommend the wall strap is used.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFE USE & MAINTENANCE 

1. Warning: Never leave your child unattended. The safety of your child is your 

responsibility. 

2. Before use, ensure the wardrobe is on a stable, level surface. 

3. Do not allow children to climb on the wardrobe. 

4. Never use the wardrobe if any parts are broken or missing. 

5. Never pivot or drag the wardrobe on its feet, the wardrobe must always be lifted by at 

least two people when moved. 

6. Do not place the wardrobe in the near vicinity of open fires or other sources of strong 

heat, such as electric or gas fires. 

7. Always leave the wardrobe clean and dry. Wipe away any spillage straight away. The 

wardrobe can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Never use abrasives, bleach or strong 

detergents. 

8. Check regularly that all fittings and screws are correctly tightened and are not damaged. 

Due to constant updating and improvements, some components may occasionally differ slightly from the diagrams 

shown in these instructions. Any spare components should be thrown away after you have fully constructed your 

product. We reserve the right to change the specifications of any piece of furniture without prior notice.
