Before assembling your wardrobe...<br />

Unpack all components / fittings and identify them against the components and fittings lists.<br />

Do not discard any packaging until you are certain you have all the correct panels and fittings.<br />

Insert eight short dowels<br />

(A) into the holes in the<br />

side edges of the base<br />

Insert six short dowels<br />

into the holes in the side<br />

edges of the fixed shelf<br />

edge of the top rail (3).<br />

You may need to gently<br />

top rail face towards the<br />

back of the wardrobe.<br />

Push down firmly until<br />

the front rail touches the<br />

underside of the top.<br />

turning them clockwise<br />

using a flat-head<br />

screwdriver.<br />

(C) into the small holes<br />

in the inside faces of<br />

both pairs of the front<br />

(7/8) and back (9/10)<br />

dowels (B) into the<br />

holes in the edges of the<br />

two side panels (6).<br />

You may need to use a<br />

light hammer to fully<br />

insert the dowels.<br />

Insert sixteen cams (D)<br />

into the large holes in<br />

the sides of the two side<br />

panels.<br />

the other side panel and<br />

Attach the bottom rail<br />

(5) to the base (1).<br />

STEP 7<br />

Align the dowels in the<br />

base and the cam studs<br />

in the bottom rail with<br />

the relevant holes and<br />

slot the components<br />

together. Ensure the top<br />

edge of the bottom rail<br />

is flush with the top side<br />

of the base.<br />

firmly together until the<br />

bottom rail touches the<br />

base. Then tighten the<br />

cams by turning them<br />

clockwise using a flathead<br />

screwdriver.<br />

You may need to gently<br />

tap the dowels into the<br />

side panels using a light<br />

Attach the six hinge<br />

plates (E) to the inside<br />

of the front legs of each<br />

side panel.<br />

Ensure that the slot in<br />

the hinge plates face<br />

towards the front of the<br />

wardrobe.<br />

Screw in the two preattached<br />

screws in each<br />

hinge plate into the<br />

holes in the front legs of<br />

the side panels.<br />

Tighten the screws using<br />

a cross-head screwdriver.<br />

STEP 10<br />

Attach the two hanger<br />

brackets (F) to the inside<br />

faces of the side panels.<br />

Locate the two sets of<br />

two pilot holes on the<br />

inside face of the side<br />

panels. Use two screws<br />

(G) to attach each<br />

hanger bracket and<br />

tighten them using a<br />

cross-head screwdriver.<br />

Ensure that the bottom<br />

rail (5) faces towards<br />

the front of the<br />

wardrobe.<br />

Tighten the two cams in<br />

the base by turning them<br />

clockwise using a flathead<br />

screwdriver.<br />

Attach the fixed shelf (2)<br />

to the left side panel.<br />

Align the cam studs in<br />

the left side panel and<br />

the dowels in the fixed<br />

shelf with relevant holes<br />

and slot them together.<br />

Tighten the two cams in<br />

the fixed shelf by turning<br />

them clockwise using a<br />

flat-head screwdriver.<br />

Attach the right side<br />

panel to the base and<br />

fixed shelf.<br />

Align the cam studs in<br />

the left side panel and<br />

the dowels in the fixed<br />

shelf with relevant holes<br />

and slot them together.<br />

Tighten the two cams in<br />

the fixed shelf by turning<br />

them clockwise using a<br />

flat-head screwdriver.<br />

Slot the top (4) onto the<br />

top edges of the side<br />

panels. Ensure that the<br />

top rail faces towards<br />

the front of the<br />

wardrobe.<br />

Fasten the top to the<br />

carcass by turning the<br />

four cams in the side<br />

panels clockwise using a<br />

flat-head screwdriver.<br />

With the help of another<br />

person turn the<br />

wardrobe face down.<br />

Before attaching the<br />

back panels (8) you must<br />

check that the wardrobe<br />

is square.<br />

Measure from the<br />

bottom corner of one<br />

side panel to the top<br />

corner of the opposite<br />

side panel, A to A.<br />

STEP 17<br />

Now measure the<br />

opposite diagonal, B to<br />

B. If the measurements<br />

are unequal then the<br />

wardrobe is not square.<br />

To square the wardrobe,<br />

gently push the top<br />

corner of the longest<br />

diagonal towards the<br />

shortest top corner and<br />

re-measure, continue<br />

until equal (a 2-3mm<br />

difference is acceptable).<br />

STEP 18<br />

Slot the two back panels<br />

(11) into the recesses in<br />

the back legs of the side<br />

panels and the top.<br />

Ensure that the veneered<br />

sides face into the<br />

carcass and that the top<br />

and bottom edges of the<br />

back panels are flush<br />

with the top and base.<br />

Slide the H-section (12)<br />

onto the adjoining edges<br />

of the back panels. Push<br />

the H-section up until it<br />

reaches the underside of<br />

the top.<br />

Fix the outside edges of<br />

the back panels to the<br />

carcass with the nails<br />

(H).<br />

Hammer the nails<br />

through the outside<br />

edges of the back panels<br />

into the side panels, top<br />

and base. FIx the corners<br />

in position first, then<br />

hammer in the remaining<br />

nails.<br />

STEP 20<br />

Fix the four brackets (I)<br />

to the underside, corners<br />

of the base (1) and<br />

inside the front and back<br />

legs.<br />

Screw in four screws (G)<br />

to secure each bracket<br />

and tighten them using a<br />

cross-head screwdriver.<br />

STEP 21<br />

With the help of another<br />

person stand the<br />

wardrobe upright.<br />

Insert the four shelf<br />

support studs (J) into<br />

the holes in the inside<br />

face of the left and right<br />

side panels. Ensure they<br />

are all at the same level.<br />

You may need to gently<br />

tap the shelf support<br />

studs into the side<br />

panels using a light<br />

hammer.<br />

Lower the adjustable<br />

shelf (13) onto the shelf<br />

support studs. Ensure<br />

that the back edge of<br />

the adjustable shelf is<br />

flush with the back<br />

panels.<br />

Push the hinge arms into<br />

Screw in two screws (G)<br />

through the holes in the<br />

hinge arms and into the<br />

doors using a cross-head<br />

Fit the four door<br />

bumpers (L) to the<br />

inside, centre corners of<br />

the doors (15).<br />

Measure 20mm in from<br />

the edges of the doors<br />

and mark the position<br />

with a soft pencil.<br />

Push the four door<br />

bumpers into the corners<br />

of the doors then use a<br />

light hammer to knock<br />

Attach the doors to the<br />

wardrobe by sliding the<br />

hinge arms (K) onto the<br />

hinge plates (E). Slot the<br />

ends of the hinge arms<br />

over the centre screws in<br />

the hinge plates and<br />

tighten them using a<br />

cross-head screwdriver.<br />

Adjusting the angle of<br />

the door<br />

Loosen screw A on each<br />

of the hinge plates.<br />

Turn screw B on each of<br />

the hinge plates either<br />

clockwise or anticlockwise<br />

to adjust the<br />

gap between the back of<br />

the door and the side<br />

ready to have the wall<br />

strap attached.<br />

The wall attachment<br />

strap is used to secure<br />

the wardrobe to the<br />

wall to prevent it from<br />

falling over.<br />

Working at the back of<br />

the wardrobe, fix the<br />

wall strap (N) to the<br />

wardrobe.<br />

Thread the wall strap<br />

screw (O) through the<br />

washer (P) and then<br />

through the end of the<br />

wall strap and into the<br />

top (4). Tighten the<br />

screw using a cross-head<br />

screwdriver.<br />

Do not fix the wall<br />

attachment strap to<br />

any other component.<br />

Secure the other end of<br />

the wall attachment<br />

strap to the wall.<br />

FIXING THE WALL ATTACHMENT STRAP TO A WALL<br />

• THE WALL ATTACHMENT STRAP IS ONLY INTENDED TO BE USED WITH THE MAMAS<br />

& PAPAS PRODUCT THAT IT IS SUPPLIED WITH.<br />

• Never attempt to modify or change the wall attachment strap in any way. Never use any<br />

other fittings for attaching the strap to your furniture than those supplied.<br />

• Never use the screw provided to attach the wall attachment strap to the wall.<br />

NO WALL ATTACHMENT FITTINGS ARE SUPPLIED. This is because the type of<br />

fittings required to attach the wall attachment strap to the chosen wall is determined by<br />

the walls composition.<br />

If you are in any doubt about the correct type of fittings to use when attaching your<br />

wall attachment strap, consult a professional before attempting to fix it to the wall.<br />

An incorrect installation may be dangerous.<br />

• The wall attachment strap must not be used to replace any other fitting supplied with<br />

your piece of furniture.<br />

• For safety reasons we always recommend the wall strap is used.<br />

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFE USE & MAINTENANCE<br />

1. Warning: Never leave your child unattended. The safety of your child is your<br />

responsibility.<br />

2. Before use, ensure the wardrobe is on a stable, level surface.<br />

3. Do not allow children to climb on the wardrobe.<br />

4. Never use the wardrobe if any parts are broken or missing.<br />

5. Never pivot or drag the wardrobe on its feet, the wardrobe must always be lifted by at<br />

least two people when moved.<br />

6. Do not place the wardrobe in the near vicinity of open fires or other sources of strong<br />

heat, such as electric or gas fires.<br />

7. Always leave the wardrobe clean and dry. Wipe away any spillage straight away. The<br />

wardrobe can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Never use abrasives, bleach or strong<br />

detergents.<br />

8. Check regularly that all fittings and screws are correctly tightened and are not damaged.<br />

Due to constant updating and improvements, some components may occasionally differ slightly from the diagrams<br />

shown in these instructions. Any spare components should be thrown away after you have fully constructed your<br />

product. We reserve the right to change the specifications of any piece of furniture without prior notice.<br />
