The involvement of the VEC in improving the environment of the school, enrolment and<br />
attendance of teachers and students varies from place to place the overall majority of the<br />
VECs do involve and their contribution are positive.<br />
Observations:<br />
a) There are major changes in the structure of VEC in WB a new structure<br />
SLMC(School Level Monitoring committee) will look after the day to day school activities<br />
including the civil works etc.<br />
b). The training part of the VECs should be implemented properly and there is need to<br />
enhancement of training of cost for the VEC members.<br />
Whether VEC is maintaining proper record of funds<br />
received by them.<br />

of records of VEC and to be crosschecked<br />
with DPO.<br />
Since the head teacher of the school is ex-offico secretary of the VEC therefore,<br />
maintained the accounts and records.<br />

The Coordinator of the community mobilization is in position at the SPO level. The<br />
person is well aware of his role. He has to monitored the community mobilization activity<br />
by sending monitoring formats to DPO and also by convening SPO level review meeting of<br />
the District Coordinators for community mobilization.<br />
