Specialized Lesion Kinetic
and Morphology Analysis Tools
To help streamline workflow to classify lesions, the Aegis Breast software provides
a number of specialized semi-automated lesion segmentation and analysis tools.
Lesions are easily segmented based on a mouse click or region of interest. The
“worst” curve within the 3D ROI is displayed along with the “worst” washout
graph. A voxel navigator tool helps the user view worst to best washout curves.
Since lesion morphology is an
important parameter for ACR
BI-RADS classification, the Aegis
Breast software provides both lesion
highlighting and lesion focus
functions. Lesion highlighting helps
visualize the lesion within the MR
volume to understand relationships
with other structures for analysis or
surgical planning.
Lesion focus provides enhanced
visualization of lesion morphology
for BI-RADS assessment.

Reporting and Communication
The Aegis Breast software fully supports ACR BI-RADS
structured breast reporting and automatically populates
lesion volume, lesion diameter, distance to nipple, and
breakdown of lesion percentage enhancement.
Aegis Breast reports can be saved as part of the patient
DICOM series and sent to PACS for archiving. It also can
save any displayed images as DICOM key images for
referring physician review.
The Aegis Breast software is available as a zero footprint
PureWeb client, accessible from any workstation in your
practice, simplifying deployment and adding flexibility.

2D, 3D, or 4D. A single click instantly changes reformat between:
• 3D MIP, thin MIP, solid.
• 2D axial, coronal, sagittal.
• Arbitrary radial reformat.
• Subtracted & non-subtracted.
• Slice and time stacking.

The Aegis Breast software provides a number of automated

All of these functions remain under
complete user control at all times.
Highly Streamlined Biopsy Guidance
The Aegis Breast software automatically registers the
biopsy grids to the MR image. Once the user selects a
target, Aegis automatically displays grid and plug position
for either straight blocks or the Verity angled biopsy
device that helps increase access to breast target areas.
For more intuitive biopsy guidance, interventional images
automatically align with the radiologist’s viewpoint for
intuitive navigation. A specialized clock face tool helps the
user orient towards the selected target.
The Aegis Breast software supports all major vacuum-assisted
biopsy devices and breast imaging coils.
