Gosodir gwaith cartref yn rheolaidd i atgyfnerthu gwaith y dosbarth, ac mae’n bwysig i bob disgybl gwblhau’r
gwaith yn brydlon, ac i’r safon â ddisgwylir.
Mae natur gwaith cartref yn amrywio ac hyderwn y bydd rhieni yn cefnogi eu plant drwy eu cymell i weithio’n
rheolaidd gan ddefnyddio’r Dyddiadur Gwaith Cartref, sydd gan bob plentyn ym mlynyddoedd 7-11, fel dolen
gyswllt rhwng y cartref a’r ysgol. Annogir disgyblion a rhieni i ddefnyddio Gwasanaeth Cefnogi Gwaith Cartref
Bwrdd yr Iaith sydd yn cynnig cefnogaeth tu allan i oriau ysgol. Ceir rhagor o fanylion ar safwe Bwrdd yr Iaith

Gofynnir i rieni gysylltu â Phennaeth Blwyddyn eu plentyn os oes unrhyw broblemau gyda gwaith cartref.
Homework is set regularly to reinforce classwork and it’s important for every pupil to complete the work on
time and to the required standard. The nature of homework is varied and we hope that parents will support their
children by encouraging them to work regularly, using the Dyddiadur Gwaith Cartref (homework diary),
provided for all pupils in years 7-11, and use it as a vital link between home and school.
Pupils and parents are encouraged to use the Welsh Language Board Homework Support Line which provides
out of hours support. Details can be found at www.byig-wlb.org.uk or enquiries can be made by emailing

Parents are asked to contact their child’s Head of Year if there are any problems with homework.

Rhieni-Ysgol sydd yn gosod allan ein disgwyliadau, a’n ymrwymiad i gyd-weithio â chi er lles eich plentyn.
Pan ddaw plentyn i Ysgol Maes Garmon, daw’n aelod o ddosbarth (7G,7A,7R neu 7N) a bydd tiwtor y dosbarth
hwnnw, fel arfer, gyda’r dosbarth am bum mlynedd. Mae Pennaeth Blwyddyn i bob blwyddyn a fydd hefyd yn
cefnogi’r tîm tiwtoriaid dosbarth a’r disgyblion dros yr un cyfnod o bum mlynedd. Pwysleisia'r ysgol
bwysigrwydd prydlondeb a phresenoldeb cyson i bob disgybl.

Ysgol Maes Garmon is justly proud of its family atmosphere, which fosters academic and social success. You,
as parents, are also very much part of the family, and we shall be urging you to sign the Home-School
agreement which sets out our expectations, and our commitment to work with you for your child’s benefit.
When a pupil comes to Ysgol Maes Garmon, he or she becomes a member of a class (7G, 7A, 7R, 7N) and the
tutor and Head of Year will stay with those pupils for five years. The school stresses to all pupils the importance
of punctuality and good attendance.
