From Dani Flaum and her dad’s connections with Stallion Security for the transport (thank you!) to
Kidwell and a yummy lunch pack, through the DJ team “Sho-Kira” up to the last detail of tidying up
(no evidence was left even though there was the expected mess of lots of kids having a great time!).
The Grades 9’s very ably assisted by the Grade 8’s and 7’s kept our visitors entertained, loved and
so well looked after! Shkoyach ladies!
Still on Grade 9 news, thank you to Dani Flaum, Sassi Weinberg, Carmella Kangisser, Natasha
Shimone, Gabi Urdang, Hannah Lager and Kaylee Lazarus for assisting the Sports Department with
a session of “Coaching the Coaches”. The Spar SA Netball coach and captain conducted drills and
coaching techniques illustrated by our netball players and it was a very beneficial session!
Rav Gross has been back in town. His presence always generates a flurry of activity. Much is
strategizing about Limudei Kodesh Syllabi, staff sessions and departmental session and of course a
brief shiur with his former Kfar students who insisted on taking some time out from exams for this
purpose (shkoyach ladies!). Rav Gross had such awesome feedback on our current Kfar group. It
is so wonderful to hear and we wish our Grade 10’s everything of the best in Israel and that they
should continue from strength to strength!
Some of our Grade 11students conducted davennin groups for the
Grade 6’s under the auspices of YID and we were thrilled to
welcome them to our Beit Midrash for Tefillah! At Tasty Torah
Treats Morah Katz and students have been very busy cooking up
a storm for so many people, one being Meg and Rav Natan, who
brought their son Uriel Ami into the Brit of Avraham Avinu. Mazal
tov! (BTW a word of warning: Morah Katz did an advance cake
decoration course on Sunday – so brace yourselves for many new
yummy techniques!) Finally, the Grade 10 classroom received a new coat of paint; more classes to
follow.
Wishing the Matrics and Grade 11’s “behatzlachah” for the exams they are writing. Study well
everyone!!!
Shabbat Sha-lom,
