the right attitude
in any business, introducing a new product
to the market and convincing people to try
something new is not an easy task. This was
the greatest challenge of Meline Ngo Lo as a
distributor of Phoenix Lubricants.
Lo, owner of Exceedall Distributors, decided
to become a lubes distributor when she heard of
the business opportunity.
“I happened to be looking for a product to
distribute when I heard Phoenix was looking for
a lubricants distributor,” she says. “It seems that
Phoenix and I were at the right place at the right
time.” She was already familiar with Phoenix as
a company making its name in the petroleum
industry in just a short time.
Since April 2010, Lo has been a member
of the fast-growing Phoenix family. She is
very thankful for the support Phoenix has
been giving her. “I love Phoenix because it is
a company that cares. It is well-handled and
personalized. As a distributor, I can directly
address my concerns to the person in-charge.
There’s no need to wait. Their simple structure is
an advantage,” she says.
Lo acknowledges the difficulty of
establishing the brand in the province, but she is
confident that they can do it.
Her most memorable Phoenixperience was
the launching of Phoenix Lubricants at CamSur
Watersports Complex in Camarines Sur in June
2010, when Phoenix introduced Exceedall
Distributors as the company’s Lubes area
distributor in Bicol.
“All our business partners from as far as
Catanduanes and all over Bicol were there,” she
recounts. “There were celebrity guests, games
and raffle prizes. Team Phoenix was also there to
give support. Up to now, I’m still thankful.”
Doing business with Phoenix taught Lo that
“a good business relationship always results to
better business!” It also gave her family another
source of income.
Aside from distributing Phoenix lubes, Lo
distributes tires and batteries for different
brands of cars and motorcycles. She also
produces shows and concerts for charity. On
her free time, she likes to make handmade
invitations for close friends.

preparation meets
opportunity.”
Last December, Phoenix awarded Exceedall
Distributors as one of its Outstanding Lubes
Distributor.
“Being recognized as one of the outstanding
distributors is very rewarding and worth all the
effort,” says Lo.
She credits her father, Melecio, for her
success. “My father always tells me to wake up
early to work, saying that the early bird always
catches the worm. That to be successful, sacrifice
is a must, so we also sleep so late at night,” she
says. “He would always remind us that success is
a combination of proper attitude, patience and
perseverance!”
Her not-so-secret secret to success? “There is
no such thing as plain luck! Luck happens when
preparation meets opportunity!”
