did. the article featuring Sally
Zikmund, granddaughter of
Mrs. Ethel Zikmund of Ord.
The co\er is a first by the
way - the first time both a
father and daughter have ever
been featuled on the cover
of the Midlands. Sally's,dad
was there Sept. 18 1966 In a
stoiy of his success at Kearney
Statz College. Yes Sally
1s the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. A11.n Z~kmund. The popular
KSC head football coach
and his football coach and his
family have many friends apd
relatives in the Ord co:llmunily.
Sally was featured as having
that All-America college
look - beautiful blonde halc
that flies In the breeze. The
attractive coker girl is one of
nine KSC cheerleaders.
-0-
Speaking of cheerleaders,
this seems an opportune time
to boast that Ord's own .Ann
Banks is also one of tllose
nine cheerleaders. Corr ct me
come after this week's recipe!
Slnce the recipe reached me
Tuesday morliing - and my
busy Tuesday schedi:le does
extra to stre in the deep
f~eeze where friends say they
keep so well)--I was unab!e to
expyx-iment before using tais
recipe in my column.
I'm willing to wager, however,
thst this is a delicious
dessert, and I now ai~x~ously
await receiv;ng my cookie order
(however, a sin1 lar cookie
could probably bz substituted).
