Knights Grab City Championship! On March 9th the Holy
Cross Varsity Basketball team defeated Christ the King 56-48
to win the 2008 CHSAA (Catholic High School Athletic
Association) “AA” City Championship—the first city championship
since 1968, and the second in the school’s history! By
virtue of this win, Holy Cross also took the 2008 New York
State CHSAA “AA” Championship. This is the first time the
Knights have been State Champs, as the title did not exist in
1968. Sylven Landesberg ‘08 was named the tournament’s
MVP. Congratulations to Coach Gilvary and the entire team!
