Day 1: Arrival Lucerne<br />
Transfer by train from the border, airport or any other destination in Switzerland to Lucerne. Short<br />
walk from the railway station to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time opportunity to discover<br />
the Old Town on your own.<br />
Lucerne, the gateway to central Switzerland, sited on Lake Lucerne, is embedded within an<br />
impressive mountainous panorama. Thanks to its attractions, its souvenir and watch shops, the<br />
beautiful lakeside setting and the nearby excursion mountains of the Rigi, Pilatus and Stanserhorn,<br />
the town is a destination for many travel groups and individuals on their journey through<br />
central Switzerland. Overnight in Lucerne.<br />
Day 2: Lucerne – Montreux with GoldenPass Line<br />
After breakfast short walk to the railway station. The trains of the Zentralbahn are waiting for you<br />
for a small trip around the world: two languages, three worlds, six lakes, one line – that’s the GoldenPass<br />
Line. Starting in the German speaking Lucerne region, the journey takes you over the<br />
Brünig pass into the Bernese Oberland. Passing Lake Brienz and after a short journey you arrive<br />
at Interlaken. Along the shores of Lake Thun you reach the Simmen valley with Zweisimmenn and<br />
the world known holiday resort of Gstaad. French peppers the air. Further on through the wild<br />
romantic Pays d’Enhaut with the scenic villages of Château d’Oex and Montbovon continues the<br />
journey through a tunnel before the panoramic view of the Lake Geneva and Montreux opens in<br />
front of you. Short walk from the railway station to your hotel and overnight in Montreux.<br />
Day 3: Departure<br />
After your breakfast you may take some more time to explore Montreux and its beautiful surroundings.<br />
The town of Montreux nestles in a sheltered Lake Geneva bay, surrounded by vineyards<br />
and against the breathtaking backdrop of snow-covered Alps. The Montreux Jazz Festival, which<br />
takes place in June/July and features concerts on a variety of stages and parks is very famous.<br />
Transfer by rail to the airport/border back home or to your next holiday destination.<br />
