<strong>Rice</strong> died in 1783, aged 83.<br />

Adonijah <strong>Rice</strong>, born Nov. 7, 1714, was in several Campaigns<br />

against <strong>the</strong> Indians. He belonged to Capt. Andrew Dalrhymple's<br />

Company five months, ending Dec. 12, 1755; and in 1756 was<br />

a Sergeant in same Co. Died Jan. 20, 1802, in his 88th. year.<br />

Gideon <strong>Rice</strong>, born Apr. 5, 1712; was in <strong>the</strong> Army and living<br />

in 1741 ; (died previous to 1748).<br />

Joseph <strong>Rice</strong>, born May 24, 1712; was a soldier from Grafton<br />

in 1757. Died in Graf ton, Feb. 12, 1789, aged 77.<br />

Peter <strong>Rice</strong>, born Feb. 7, 1761. In Page's Co. Rand's Regiment,<br />

at West Point in 1780 and died in Service.<br />

Sam'l <strong>Rice</strong>, May 10, 1730. Was in <strong>the</strong> Army and on roll<br />

<strong>of</strong> Williams' Co. in 1755 and 1757, and was still living in 1793.<br />

Henry <strong>Rice</strong>, Apr. 3, 1736, was in <strong>the</strong> "Lake Expedition" in<br />

1758 ;<br />

in Fletcher's Co. from Holden, and enlisted in Chandler's<br />

Co., April 2, 1759.<br />

Uriah <strong>Rice</strong>, born 1734, was in <strong>the</strong> Army in 1780, in Drury's<br />

Co., Perry's Regiment.<br />

Silas <strong>Rice</strong>, born about 1736, was in <strong>the</strong> Revolutionary Army<br />

and probably died before Sept. 6, 1780.<br />

Aaron <strong>Rice</strong>, born Jan. 31, 1724-5. Corporal in Burke's Co.<br />

1758, and member <strong>of</strong> State Convention in 1779, to frame a<br />

Constitution for <strong>the</strong> Commonwealth <strong>of</strong> Mass. Died 1808, aged<br />

84.<br />

Sylvanus <strong>Rice</strong>, born Jan. 6, 1728-9. Served as Captain in 1776<br />

and in 1779, in Chaplin's Regt. He died in 1819 in his 91st.<br />

year. His widow died in her 87th.<br />

Isaac <strong>Rice</strong>, Nov. 2, 1738, was in Ruggle's Co. in 1755 (aged<br />

<strong>the</strong>n 17) and in Brown's Co. and Parker's Co. from Nov. 8,<br />

1761 to Nov., 1762.<br />

Jason <strong>Rice</strong>, born Aug. 7, 1728, was Corporal in Jones' Co. 1756,<br />

from Hopkinton.<br />

Aaron Smith, born June 22, 1736, son <strong>of</strong> Ephramin Smith and<br />

Hannah <strong>Rice</strong>, fought at Bunker Hill, and died at Shrewsbury,<br />

May 9, 1825, aged 89.<br />

The parents <strong>of</strong> 15 children, "two <strong>of</strong> whom, born June 27, 1775,<br />

were baptized <strong>the</strong> next Sabbath John Hancock and Dorothy<br />
