Singing and acting has always been
part of sophomore Andrew Spehar’s life.
Although fourth grade was the first time
that Spehar took part in the school vocal
music program, singing has been a natural
thing for him since a young age.
“He has been singing since he was
young and the whole family goes to musicals
all the time,” Spehar’s mom, Mrs. Lee
Spehar, said.
“Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat,”
was the first time that Spehar
performed on stage with his singing and
he enjoyed every minute.
“It was a lot of hard work but the payoff
was great,” he said.
Spehar hopes to continue performing
throughout high school.
Mrs. Spehar also enjoyed watching her
son perform on stage.
“I thought it was fun to see him in costume,”
Mrs. Spehar said. “It was another
side of him.”
Spehar actively participates in the choir.
“It is something fun to do on the side,”
Spehar said. “It is always good to have a
background in music.”
“Singing has always been a part of
Andrew. It’s just another way to express
himself,” Mrs. Spehar said.
Besides being involved in the arts,
Spehar is also an athlete. “I am in cross
country and play baseball,” Spehar said.
“I just really have fun at most things I
do,” Spehar said.
