Gerald is an Honour’s Graduate of Shannon College of Hotel Management in
Ireland and was awarded an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Business Administration
in Hospitality Management by the Johnson & Wales University, State of Rhode
Island in the USA. He is an active member of the World Travel and Tourism Council
(WTTC) and a Fellow member of the Hotel & Catering International Management
Association (HCIMA).

Chris Luebkeman refuses to be categorized. Educated as a geologist, structural
engineer and architect, he now specializes as a generalist with a view of being “in
league with the future.”
He was listed as one of the ten future speculators and shapers “who will change
the way we live,” in Wallpaper Magazine (2002). As an educator, he has taught in
the Departments of Architecture at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, the
University of Oregon, the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology.
Since 2003, Chris and his Arup team have conceptualized and facilitated more
than 60 workshops worldwide – assessing emerging trends and technologies and
how they relate to business. He frequently explores drivers of change – society,
technology, environment, economics, politics – and their impact on the industry.
Chris is currently working with some of the world’s leading companies to develop
scenarios to better understand the opportunities change is creating in the built
environment.
Jabulane (Jabu) Mabuza is Group Chief Executive of Tsogo Sun Holdings
(Pty) Ltd.
Jabu has held directorships for various companies including: Amalgamated Retails
Ltd, Boymans Ltd, Marconi Communications, Amalgamated Banks of Southern
Africa (ABSA), and African Renaissance Holdings (ARH).
Jabu served as Chairman of Mpumalanga Development Corporation, Future Bank
Ltd, and was Chief Executive of the South African Black Taxi Association (SABTA)
and Chief Executive of the Foundation for African Business and Consumer
Services (FABCOS). Jabu was Chairman of the Marketing Federation of Southern
Africa (MFSA).
Jabu currently holds directorships for a number of companies within the Tsogo Sun
Group as well as Southern Sun Hotels (Pty) Ltd. He is also director of Hosken
Consolidated Investments Limited (HCI), New Seasons Investments (Pty) Ltd (NSI),
Southern Africa PGA Tour (Pty) Ltd. Jabu is Chairman of the Casino Association of
South Africa (CASA), as well as the Chairman of the South African Tourism Board.
Jabu has presented several papers around the world on Black Economic Empowerment
Investment in South Africa, Small and Medium Enterprise Development and the
Role of Business in Transition.
Jabu was the recipient of the 2004 Impumelelo, Top 300 Empowerment Awards as a
Top Black Business Personality of the Year.
