TXP Process Control System
Prerequisites
A basic background in control systems and prior
DCS knowledge is desirable. Prior completion of
Control Logic Configuration (TXP-CLC) is highly
recommended.
Description
This course emphasizes tasks performed by lead
technicians and operators. This course will
describe the various components of the TXP
system. During the span of this course, the student
will work with the engineering workstation,
operating terminal, processing unit, and server
unit to better understand archiving, reporting,
and calculation, and the magnetic optical disk.
The student will also learn about logs, alarm
handling, switch cycle counters, and operating
hours.

Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course,
the student has been trained to:
• Design and implement cycle counters, operating
hour counters and other process information
related calculations
• Design and implement reports such as shift
reports and event reports
• Check and maintain the TXP alarm handling
function blocks
• Maintain and monitor the long-term archive
and its storage media
