Plumbosolvency Notice
Some plumbing fittings have the potential to allow minute
traces of metals to accumulate in water that is standing in the
fittings for several hours.
Although the health risk is small, the Ministry of Health
recommends you flush a mugful of water from your drinkingwater
tap each morning before use to remove any metals
which may have dissolved from the plumbing fittings.
We are recommending this simple precaution for all
households, including those on public and private water
supplies.
We also remind those that are currently on boil water notices
to continue boiling your water. Please refer to our website
www.hurunui.govt.nz
for further information.
Current boil water notices still apply to the following rural
water schemes:
Hurunui 1, Kaiwara, Cheviot (excludes township and Gore
Bay), Parnassus, Blythe, Peaks, Waiau Rural and the Lower
Waitohi.

News from the Amuri Players
(with the hope that you will come and join us!!)
At our recent AGM the following officers were elected:
President: Jonathan Gardiner (ph 3157925)
Treasurer: Dennis Hall (ph 3157696)
Secretary: Sarah Gardiner (ph 3157925)
Wardrobe convenor: Margaret Thompson (ph 3157700)
The annual subs have remained at $20/adult, $10/school
child, $40/family (due at the first meeting)
Our last President, Graham Frith, is off on his big OE,
cycling around the world, beginning with a North Island
tour this year. You can follow his exploits on his website –
grumgoesglobal. We wish him safe journeying and lots of
adventures.
We have decided not to put on a major production this
year, but to build up our skills especially around
stagecraft, both onstage as performers and behind the
scenes as stage crew.
We plan to meet once a month at the Hanmer Springs
Memorial Hall to focus on one aspect of this skill building.
We will cover role playing, make up and lighting, set
building and design (and a clean out of our set shed), and
singing for all.
The meeting dates for the year are:
June 30 th , July 28 th , August 25 th , September 29 th , and
November 3 rd .
Meetings begin at 5.45pm with a shared pot luck tea and
then time for action from 6.15 – 9pm.
Come along and see what’s involved, have
some fun, all are welcome!!

collecting Costumes.
6) Any loss or damage to Costumes will be the Hirer’s
responsibility to repair and/or replace.
