Industrial Training Fund – Public Service Reforms • Collapsed 9-Department Structure of the Fund into 6-Department Structure. • Disengaged 400 staff that was in breach of the requirements spelt out by the Bureau of Public Service Reforms. • Paid entitlements of all staff (216) that were downsized to enable them start new lives. • Total of N216, 536,760.16 was paid as terminal benefits. • 2008 year of consolidation, repositioning and refocusing. • Take-off of the ITFNECA Technical Skills Development Project (TSDP). • ITF was commended by the Bureau of Public Service Reforms. Industrial Training Fund – Staff Issues Addressed in 2008 • 600 staff were promoted just as all cases of wrongful placement and upgrading were resolved. • ITF was also among the first organization to pay the 15% percent salary increase announced by the Federal Government. • It was also among the first 4 Institutions to implement the Harmonised Salary for Public Servants and the arrears thereof. 13
