Principal’s Letter
Dear Badin Alumni and Friends,
At Badin High School, we strive to put
the above quote into action. Our motto the
last several years has been, “Serving God,
Serving Others.” Our faculty, staff, students,
parents and alumni prove time and again the
difference one can make in the lives of others.
Recently, our sophomores met with various
local agencies to learn more about how they
can make a difference in our local community.
Many of our students participated in a Habitat
for Humanity build to provide housing to
those in need. Several Friday evenings all year
long, you will find Badin students, teachers
and parents volunteering at the Community
Meal Center in Hamilton, providing food and
company to local citizens who are in need of
a hot meal and friendship. These are only a
few examples of the difference our students
make in the lives of others.
Our teachers make a difference every day
in the classroom and beyond. The high quality
education that our students receive is second
to none. What sets our teachers apart is the
personal concern our faculty and staff have
for the students. Students appreciate knowing
that their teachers care for and support them
as young men and women. Students are able
to not only receive an excellent education
from their teachers but are also able to
develop mentoring relationships that serve
the students well in the future as they apply
for college and make decisions about careers.
We are blessed to have an outstanding faculty
and staff here at Badin High School.
These are exciting times at Badin High
School. At 158 students, our freshman Class
of 2016 is the largest class in the school since
the Class of 2008 arrived in August of 2004.
Our overall enrollment is over 500, which is
an increase of 50 students from last year.
All of our students and faculty are utilizing
iPads. Technology has dramatically changed
the way students learn and here at Badin we
are responding to these changes in order
to provide the best education possible. The
iPads allow our students to become actively
engaged in the learning process. Our faculty
continues to find new and innovative ways
to implement this technology into their
curriculum, always with a focus on increasing
student achievement.
For the first time in the history of the
school, our classrooms are air conditioned!
This project was completed over the summer.
Thank you to the school board for their
support on this important project. It has
made a tremendous difference in the learning
environment.
These and other improvements have made
Badin a stronger school. However, Badin High
School is still all about family. The success
of our students now and in the future is
dependent on the quality of the people
who fill the hallways at BHS. The positive
experiences our students and families are
having are the key to our continued growth.
We must continue to hire and retain high
quality teachers and staff that help guide our
students on their path to adulthood. We must
continue to provide strong faith development
through our entire retreat program, our
Christian Service program and throughout all
our classes. We must continue to challenge
ourselves to meet the needs of current and
future students while remaining true to our
values. We pray that we will continue to
receive your prayers and support as we strive
to live our mission.
