Miss Dinkles
Join in the fun as Miss Dinkles takes you
on a magical tea party experience. The
author of children’s book “Celeste, Nick
and the Magical Tea Party” will delight
her young audience with an enchanted
reading of her book. Dressed as Miss
Dinkles, with unnaturally bright red
hair and the largest blue eyelashes ever
seen, she will sprinkle story inspired
interactive activities throughout.

Sumardi
Your school will receive a wonderful
insight into the myths of Indonesian
history and culture via Gamelan
and Puppetry. Sumardi’s theatrical
storytelling brings to life climatic scenes
based on Hindu epics, such as the
Ramayana Cycle. The audience is given
an opportunity to watch the shadow
puppetry from both sides of the screen
in order to experience the magic as well
as learn the skills and techniques behind
these ancient art forms. Appearing at
Tambrey PS and St Paul’s PS.

Josh Mitchell and Adam Jackson present
hilarious and engaging performances
in their shows, taking from the classic
styles of European theatre: mime; ballet;
renaissance and Moliere, these French
& Italian language plays provide a
laugh a minute for students of all ages.

ART AWARDS
SUN 9 SEPT - SAT 22 SEPT
In 2012 the Dampier Art Awards will be
celebrating its second year of showcasing the
talent of the local Dampier residents. The Dampier
Art Awards endeavours to capture the essence
of what life is like, living and working in the
Pilbara. The theme for 2012 is “From little things,
big things grow” and enables the local artists to
give us a snap shot of moments of time captured
by a drop of paint or a smear of charcoal. In
2012, the Pilbara region is experiencing a huge
transformation with the local land developments
and the resource sector expanding at a rapid rate.
The Dampier Art Awards will be a reflection of the
changing times of life in Dampier and the Burrup
Peninsula.
