Welcome everyone to the 2012 Red Earth Arts Festival. I am simply
thrilled to have been involved in the production of this 3-week long
festival in one of the most fascinating regions of the world. Comprising
over 200+ hours of art, theatre, music & entertainment, 2012 REAF
promises a range of sensational performances to cater to all ages,
preferences and cultural backgrounds.
2012 REAF aims to facilitate local community engagement and
contribute toward sustainable arts practices, further enriching the lives
of the communities of the Pilbara. I would like to express my sincerest
gratitude to everyone who made this festival possible: the hardworking
team of organizers, our many talented artists, generous sponsors and
dedicated volunteers.
Watch out for the Red Earth Art Ball - a temporary interactive art
installation which will feature throughout REAF. It will make surprise
appearances where you least expect it and is a metaphor for the journey
into the future. We look forward to celebrating diverse art and culture
with you at the festival!

with Kevin Kropinyeri
Kevin has blasted his way onto the national
standup scene in a ridiculously short time,
initially making a splash in 2008, winning the
Melbourne Comedy Festival’s national Deadly
Funny comedy competition.
In three head-spinning years since then,
Kevin has established himself as a fully
professional performer on the national circuit.
Kev now shares his talent with the youth of
Roebourne , helping them to find their voice
as exciting new faces of Australian comedy.
