What does it do

The Delta range is now further enhanced by
introduction of the high capacity Delta 14 &
16. Designed for commercial pools, the Delta
14 and 16 are available with over 40
different airflow and control panel
configurations, allowing them to provide
total flexibility for all shapes and sizes of
plant rooms.
Backward curved fans designed to operate
against high external resistances are fitted
as standard and the unit can be supplied
with BMS for buildings with central control.

Humidity control
In contrast to most buildings, indoor swimming pools
constantly evaporate large volumes of moisture into the
space around them. Unless this moisture is removed,
humidity will rise creating an uncomfortable environment
and structural/fabric damage. Totally self controlling, the
Delta will remove this moisture and recover energy from it
which is then re-used to assist water and air heating. By
utilising this method, a heat cycle is created and energy
costs are kept to a minimum.
Pool water and air heating
A majority of the heating needs are provided by heat
recovery from the dehumidification process. Heat losses
that cannot be recovered are provided for by inbuilt heat
exchangers which are connected to hot water from a
boiler. All necessary controls to accurately maintain stable
temperatures are fitted as standard within the Delta. This
ensures easy installation with a central user friendly
control panel that will automatically interrelate to pool hall
air, water and humidity needs.
Fresh air/air handling
The Delta range is provided with automatically modulating
fresh/exhaust air. This alleviates potential build up of
airborne chemicals, provides a greater degree of air
temperature control during warm weather and allows a
slight negative pressure to be created within the pool
hall which will prevent migration of pool hall air to
adjacent rooms.
During the cold weather, energy will
be recovered from exhausted air to
reheat the fresh air supply. With
models 4 to 16, this process will
automatically reverse during hot
weather to reject some excess
energy to the exhaust air and
consequently maintain a
comfortable temperature within the
building.
Controls
The Delta is fitted with easy to read
humidistat, and air and water
thermostats, each with LCD
display of set point and
actual measured data. A
simple diagnostic light
system allows the
user to read the
operational mode,
and a 7 day timeclock
controls
Delta operation.
All controls are
located and easily
viewed behind a
hinged protective
screen.
