During the year, <strong>National</strong> <strong>Trust</strong> provided a financial assistance of Rs. 3.20 lakh as<br />
Awards for the award winning films for the Film Festival.<br />
18.9 VSO partnership - Engagement of Volunteers<br />
<strong>National</strong> <strong>Trust</strong> has engaged services of 2 members of VSO namely – Mr Michael<br />
Jeffrey Rosenkrantz, a US <strong>National</strong> and Ms Florence Manikan, a Phillipines <strong>National</strong><br />
to share their experience of fund raising with partner organizations and contribute<br />
to building their capacity. Mr Mike has been involved in capacity building workshops<br />
and the BadhteKadam campaign while Ms Florence has been conducting a study on<br />
the Samarth Centres for upgrading their efficacy and setting up monitoring Evaluation<br />
systems.<br />
18.10Community Awareness Programmes -<br />
<strong>National</strong> <strong>Trust</strong> carries out Community Awareness Programmes. During the year, 11<br />
NGOs conducted 18 programmes for which Rs.95,000 was reimbursed. In addition,<br />
an amount of Rs. 30,000 was reimbursed for the programmes conducted during 2009-<br />
10 end.<br />
18.11 Organisational Development Capacity Building Workshop<br />
Financial resource crunch and organizational sustainability have always been the core<br />
concern of the organizations registered with the <strong>National</strong> <strong>Trust</strong>. In order to address<br />
these concerns, organizational development workshops were conceived.<br />
During the year 8 workshops , as listed below, were conducted. The issues covered<br />
under these workshops included fund raising planning, strategic planning,<br />
communications planning and human resources-team building and staff retention.<br />

In addition to this, an amount of Rs. 11 lakh was sanctioned to ARUNIM for<br />
conducting Capacity Building Workshops for its member Organizations, out of which<br />
Rs. 5.5 lakh released.
