The Cranbrook community has knitted a multitude of jumpers, dolls,
blankets and scarves for the children of Ladakh.

Department Notice
for Year 7 and Year
10 Students
Each year NSW Health Department
offers the vaccines recommended by the
National Health and Medical Research
Council (NHMRC) for adolescents as
part of the school-based program.
In 2010 the following vaccines will
be offered:
Year 7
The first vaccine clinic will be in August
2010 and the following vaccines will be
offered:
• Hepatitis B is offered to all Year 7
Students who have NOT previously
received 3 doses of Hepatitis B
vaccine when they were a baby. This
vaccine will be available as a 2-dose
vaccine with the second dose to be
given in November 2010.
• Diphtheria, Tetanus and Pertussis
(Whooping Cough) will also be
offered at the first clinic.
Varicella (Chicken Pox) vaccine will be
offered in the second clinic in November
to all Year 7 students who have not been
previously vaccinated or who have NOT
had Chicken Pox.
Year 10
Year 10 students who have NOT already
been vaccinated, will be offered the
following vaccination in August 2010 at
the first clinic:
• Diphtheria, Tetanus and Pertussis
(Whooping Cough).
Parent information kits will be sent
home in the next few weeks. To consent
to the vaccination of their son, parents/
guardians are advised to read all the
information provided, complete the
consent form and return it to their son’s
Housemaster or to the Health Centre
prior to the end of July. Please contact
