T&V RACING’S OVERKILL CRANKS AND<br />
CRANKCASES<br />
The ultimate nitro burning Harley bottom-end.<br />
These are <strong>the</strong> cranks and crankcases that<br />
have put Nitro Harley racing into <strong>the</strong> new<br />
Millenium. When you demand <strong>the</strong> highest possible<br />
from your nitro burning race engine, <strong>the</strong><br />
only way to go is “side-by-side”.<br />
The cases are CNC machined from heat treated<br />
aircraft quality aluminum with a huge roller<br />
bearing on <strong>the</strong> pinion side and a huge ball and<br />
roller bearing on <strong>the</strong> output shaft side for<br />
extreme load handling and stability. The camchest<br />
is of a Sportster type configuration for<br />
better pushrod geometry and is premachined<br />
to accept an external cam driven<br />
fuel pump and oil pump. The one piece crank<br />
is made out of a special heat treated chromemoly<br />
alloy and uses a special pinion shaft,<br />
which has <strong>the</strong> pinion gear directly machined<br />
on it. This is to ensure it can handle <strong>the</strong><br />
stress of excessive exhaust pressure combined<br />
with driving <strong>the</strong> fuel and oil pump.<br />
The last weak-spot of <strong>the</strong> side-by-side configuration<br />
is <strong>the</strong> bolt and pin pattern on <strong>the</strong> output<br />
side of <strong>the</strong> cranks. <strong>Zodiac</strong> racing has <strong>the</strong><br />
cure and exclusively offers a new generation<br />
side-by-side crank that has a splined output<br />
shaft. Also made from a super tough heat<br />
treated chrome moly alloy and machined to<br />
exact tolerances, <strong>the</strong>se cranks can handle<br />
more load <strong>the</strong>n anything else on <strong>the</strong> market<br />
today.<br />
T&V <strong>Racing</strong>’s Overkill bottom-end configurations<br />
can be ordered for engines up to a massive<br />
200 Cubic Inches.<br />

T&V RACING 7075-T6 BILLET CONNECTION<br />
RODS<br />
T&V <strong>Racing</strong> connecting rods are CNC<br />
machined from a special aluminum alloy plate<br />
that provides a combination of high strength,<br />
high fracture toughness and good resistance<br />
to fatigue crack propagation at high stress<br />
levels. Our manufacturing process takes<br />
advantage of <strong>the</strong> CNC's capability in that <strong>the</strong><br />
rod is custom built around <strong>the</strong> actual center<br />
to center distance. These rods are <strong>the</strong>n<br />
honed to size, holding a precise tolerance.<br />
These rods are designed for <strong>the</strong> so called<br />
“side-by-side” race engines, like T&V <strong>Racing</strong>’s<br />
Overkill engines.<br />

BDK FUEL METERING VALVE<br />
The BDK metering valve is used on front running<br />
nitro burners to accurately control <strong>the</strong><br />
amount of high flow fuel volume bypass. The<br />
base pressure is simply adjusted by setting<br />
<strong>the</strong> spring pressure with <strong>the</strong> T-handle. But<br />
unlike normal bypass valves, <strong>the</strong> BDK metering<br />
valve gives you <strong>the</strong> opportunity to regulate<br />
different pressures at different phases of<br />
<strong>the</strong> run. This is <strong>the</strong> fuel valve that can maximize<br />
traction at <strong>the</strong> start-line, maximize<br />
acceleration half way down <strong>the</strong> track by<br />
boosting up <strong>the</strong> fuel pressure, and maximize<br />
top end speed by leaning <strong>the</strong> engine out at<br />
<strong>the</strong> high RPM range. This is regulated by<br />
pressurizing and depressurizing <strong>the</strong> air chamber<br />
of <strong>the</strong> valve.<br />
It accommodates two AN-8 fittings for <strong>the</strong><br />
fuel inlet and output and a Festo/SMC type<br />
quick release hose fitting for <strong>the</strong> air pressure<br />
chamber. This valve is used by all <strong>the</strong> Pro’s in<br />
Nitro racing.<br />
