KONFERENZ ÜBER BALNEOLOGIE
UND FREMDENDENVERKEHR
Mit der Unterstützung des Regionalen Operationsprogramms
NUTS II Nordwest und der Unterstützung des Europäischen
Fonds für Regionalentwicklung fand am 7. und 9. 10.
2009 die Konferenz für Balneologie und Fremdenverkehr mit
dem Untertitel „Bedeutung der Traditionen, des historischen
und natürlichen Umfelds für die Erhaltung und nachhaltige
Entwicklung von Balneologie und Fremdenverkehr - Beitrag
zum Eintrag des Westböhmischen Bäderdreiecks in das
Verzeichnis des UNESCO-Welterbes“ statt. Die Konferenz
widmete sich völlig gezielt der Auswertung und dem Vergleich
der Architektur der europäischen Kurorte.
In Anknüpfung an die Fertigstellung der Konzeption zur
Unterstützung der Denkmalpflege in der Region Karlsbad im
Jahre 2006 beschloss die Region Karlsbad, in Zusammenarbeit
mit den betreffenden Städten den Eintrag der historischen
Stadtkerne von Karlovy Vary - Karlsbad, Mariánské Lázně
- Marienbad und Františkovy Lázně - Franzensbad in das
Verzeichnis des UNESCO-Welterbes unter der Bezeichnung
„Westböhmisches Bäderdreieck“ anzustreben.
Es gelang, für den Auftritt auf der Konferenz Fachleute aus
Deutschland, Frankreich, Italien und aus der Slowakischen Republik
zu gewinnen, die sich in ihren Beiträgen mit Bäderarchitektur
und deren Entwicklung in ihren Ländern befassten.
Es ist erfreulich, dass diese Fachleute die unbestrittene architektonische
und urbanistische Qualität des Westböhmischen
Bäderdreiecks anerkannt haben.
Die Konferenz zeigte den gemeinsamen Willen aller drei
Städte, in der Richtung zum erfolgreichen Eintrag in das Verzeichnis
des UNESCO-Welterbes fortzufahren.

CONFERENCE
The Spa industry and Tourism Conference, with the sub-title
of “The importance of traditions, the historic and natural environment
for maintaining and sustainable development of the
spa industry and tourism – the benefits of registry of the West
Bohemian Spa Triangle as a UNESCO World Heritage Site“ took
place with the support of the Regional Operation Program for
the North West Cohesion Region and the European Fund for
Regional Development, from the 7th to the 9th October. The
conference was targeted on assessment and comparison of the
architecture of European spa sites.
In relation to completion of the Concept for Support of the
Care of Historic Monuments in the Carlsbad Region in 2006, the
Carlsbad Region decided to attempt to register the historic centres
of the towns of Carlsbad, Mariánské Lázně and Františkovy
Lázně as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in cooperation with the
affected towns, under the title of “North Bohemian Spa Triangle“.
Experts from Germany, France, Italy and from the Slovak
Republic, who discussed spa architecture and its development in
their countries in their contributions, were enlisted to appear at
the conference. It is gratifying that these experts acknowledged
the indisputable architectonic and urban quality of the West
Bohemian Spa Triangle.
The conference demonstrated the common will of all three
towns to continue to attempt to achieve successful registration
as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
