2.2 COUNCIL AND COMMITTEE STRUCTURE
The Port Augusta City Council has two Key Committees; City Management, Social
Vision & City Image Committee and Infrastructure, Environment & Corporate Services
Committee. These Committees meet at 5.30pm on the 2 nd and 3 rd Monday of each
month respectively and are attended by all Councillors. The Chairperson for each
Key Committee is rotated, via an election process, on a three monthly basis between
Councillors. The Mayor is ex-officio of these Committees. Decisions of these
Committees are forwarded to Council on the 4 th Monday of the month in the form of
recommendations. All meetings are held in the Council Chambers, Civic Centre,
Mackay Street, Port Augusta and are open to the public.
