The Port Augusta City Council is happy to present its Annual Report for 2005/2006. The
content of this report will provide the community and other prescribed bodies an overview of
Council’s activities throughout this financial year.
The Annual Report is not only a historical record of Council’s activities; it is also used as a
promotional tool to acknowledge the achievements of our great community and to attract
investment into the area.
Under the Local Government Act 1999, this report must include information on Council’s
accountability, its performance against strategic management plans, financial performance
and staffing. Council also has an opportunity to include other information of relevance and
interest to varied and specific readers.
The format of the Annual Report is structured as follows:
