<strong>to</strong>pics will be discussed, such as Help<strong>in</strong>g Your<br />

Child Handle Stress, Successful Discipl<strong>in</strong>e and<br />

Children’s Fears. Expert presenters will be<br />

featured at each session as will refreshments<br />

Libraries.” From 7:00 PM <strong>to</strong> 8:00 PM at the<br />

W<strong>in</strong>dsor Public Library, kids <strong>in</strong> grades 4-6 will<br />

explore and discuss the world <strong>of</strong> Harry Potter.<br />

is facilitated by a parent volunteer who<br />

plans and implements specific activities for children<br />

Language is an <strong>in</strong>troduction <strong>to</strong> Spanish for the<br />

younger set. A different activity will be <strong>in</strong>troduced<br />

hour each week <strong>to</strong> work on homework, school<br />

<strong>to</strong> four afternoons per week through December<br />

20. It’s a quiet place <strong>to</strong> <strong>do</strong> homework with assistance<br />

S<strong>to</strong>ries, a two-session program for parents and<br />

children aged 4 <strong>to</strong> 5 years old. At the first class<br />

the children will read a classic s<strong>to</strong>ry and learn<br />

the movements that tell the s<strong>to</strong>ry. Dur<strong>in</strong>g the<br />

second class they will f<strong>in</strong>alize the dramatic<br />

movements and present the s<strong>to</strong>ry <strong>to</strong> their<br />

parents. The material used relates <strong>to</strong> the seasons<br />

and old time favorites. Come and have fun!<br />

No prior experience with dance or music is<br />

necessary. Limited <strong>to</strong> 12 parents, grandparents,<br />

or caregivers and their children. An adult is<br />

required <strong>to</strong> participate <strong>in</strong> the program with the<br />

Library’s trip <strong>to</strong> Elm Knoll Farm <strong>in</strong> Somers.<br />

The bus leaves the library at 10:00 AM and will<br />

return by 2:00 PM. The farm <strong>in</strong>cludes a pett<strong>in</strong>g<br />

zoo, fun run, giant caterpillar, a hayride and a<br />

pumpk<strong>in</strong> <strong>to</strong> take home. Br<strong>in</strong>g a picnic lunch.<br />

The Parent Center. Saturday Morn<strong>in</strong>g<br />

Socialization at The Parent Center is an opportunity<br />

for parents <strong>to</strong> drop <strong>in</strong> at the Parent Center anytime<br />

between 9:30 AM and 11:45 AM for a cup<br />

<strong>of</strong> c<strong>of</strong>fee and a pastry. A structured program,<br />

S<strong>in</strong>g<strong>in</strong>g with My Dad, will be <strong>of</strong>fered between<br />

10:00 AM and 11:00 AM <strong>in</strong> the Parent Room.<br />

Parents not participat<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> the music program are<br />

free <strong>to</strong> watch a video <strong>in</strong> the Crafts Room or <strong>to</strong><br />

discuss child development issues with a certified<br />

parent educa<strong>to</strong>r. Unstructured playtime is also<br />

available for children <strong>in</strong> the crafts area. Look<br />
