Saddle Up<br />

EVENT<br />

Saddle Up is a great opportunity to learn<br />

many basic aspects <strong>of</strong> proper horse<br />

care and riding. Learn how to halter your<br />

horse and how to tie a quick release<br />

knot. Assist with grooming and picking<br />

out your horse’s hooves. Head out to<br />

the arena with your horse and learn how<br />

to properly mount and dismount, how to<br />

steer, and how to have fun in the saddle.<br />

Who: <strong>Girl</strong>s in grades 4-12<br />

Date: Saturday, April 20, 2013 or<br />

Saturday, May 18, 2013<br />

Time: 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.,<br />

10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., or<br />

11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.<br />

Location: Camp Tapawingo<br />

Fee: $20 per girl per session<br />

Min/Max: 4/8 girls per session<br />

Closing Date: 2 weeks prior to each<br />

session<br />

Equestrian I - no experience is necessary.<br />

Boots ‘n’ Saddles<br />

Pull on your boots and climb into the<br />

saddle to learn and demonstrate trust<br />

exercises and games with your horse.<br />

Gain a deeper connection with your<br />

horse and an independent seat in the<br />

saddle. Guide your horse through an<br />

obstacle course and learn how to<br />

control your horse at the trot. Soar in<br />

the saddle with confidence and<br />

independence!<br />

Fee: $20 per girl per session<br />

Min/Max: 4/10 girls per session<br />

Closing Date: 2 weeks prior to each<br />

session<br />

Equestrian II - Previous riding experience is<br />

beneficial but not necessary.<br />

Private<br />

Horseback Riding Lessons<br />

EVENT<br />

Private horseback riding lessons are<br />

available for beginning through<br />

advanced riders. As a beginner,<br />

learn the basics <strong>of</strong> grooming,<br />

tacking, and riding. Intermediate<br />

and advanced riders can take<br />

advantage <strong>of</strong> one-on-one time with<br />

the instructor to hone your riding<br />

skills. Both Western and English<br />

disciplines are <strong>of</strong>fered. You can<br />

arrange for small group lessons for<br />

siblings, friends, co-workers, etc.<br />

A four-week package <strong>of</strong> once a<br />

week lessons with flexible time<br />

schedules are available.<br />

Who: <strong>Girl</strong>s in grades 5 - adult<br />

Date: July 22, 2013 - August 16, 2013<br />

Time: Weekdays - Flexible<br />

Fee: $125 for a 4 week package<br />
