ceremony.<br />
[c.1932]. Silver gelatin print, Very good tonal range and in good<br />
condition, mounted on card. Dimensions: 230 by 175mm.<br />
(9 by 7 inches).<br />
The ceremony was performed by order of the<br />
queen, at whose home the girls reside for one<br />
year before the marriage initiation. For certain<br />
ceremonies the girls decorated their face and body<br />
with white earth.<br />
