Product / Service Provided: IBI Group is the prime
contractor for the development, deployment and operation
of this traveler information system for the 5-county greater
Los Angeles area. The project includes:
• Go511. This includes multimodal and multilingual travel
information delivery via Interactive Voice Recognition (or
IVR) phone system;
• Go511 Internet services. This includes an integrated
website, SMS and mobile applications.
• A Traveler Information Center with 19 / 7 live operators
performing quality control processes and analysis on
automated data feeds, and collecting supplementary
data from non-systematic data sources.
• Advertising services across all media to mitigate costs
of deployment;
• A customer call center to take care of fixed and ‘mobile’
highway call box calls;
• Tow-truck fleet monitoring operations, including fleet
contract analysis and coordination with California
Highway Patrol;
• The deployment of a transit trip planning IVR and
website; and
• Up to ten years of operations for all of the above.
IBI Group is the prime contractor for the
development, deployment and operation
of this traveler information system for the
5-county greater Los Angeles area.
Product/Service Provided: IBI Group is deploying the
next-generation statewide 511 system for Florida. IBI Group
has primary responsibility for the data architecture and the
web components of work, and will support operation of
this Traveler Information System for up to five years. The
project includes:
• The overall systems architecture, including a centralized
511 database incorporating data from 9 Florida DOT
District Traffic Management Centers,
• Center-to-center connectivity for the collection of data
from these and other data sources;
• A FL 511 website, including real-time data for traffic
congestion, traffic incidents, travel times, camera
images, floodgate messages, personal mobile device
support, and static data;
• Data support for the 511 Interactive Voice Recognition (or
IVR) phone system, and related personalization services;
• A video aggregation subsystem that collects, organizes
and serves images and streaming video to the 511 website;
• A Quality Management Subsystem that closely monitors
the extended system operation ad performance to
ensure satisfactory performance; and
• The IVR deployment for FL511 is being provided by a
project partner.
