1.5.2 REKENAARSAGTEWARE (vervolg)<br />

1.5.3 PRODUKONTWIKKELINGSKOSTES<br />

Kostes verbonde aan die ontwikkeling van 'n produk,<br />

• dit is tegnies lewensvatbaar om die ontwikkeling van die<br />

bate te voltooi om sodoende aangewend te word;<br />

• die moontlikheid bestaan om die ontasbare bate te gebruik<br />

of te verkoop;<br />

• bestuur is van voorneme om die ontasbare bate te voltooi<br />

om sodoende gebruik of verkoop te word;<br />

• die waarskynlikheid van toekomstige ekonomiese voordele<br />

kan gedemonstreer word;<br />

• genoegsame finansiële, tegniese en ander bronne bestaan<br />

om die ontwikkeling van die ontasbare bate en die verkoop<br />

of gebruik daarvan te bewerkstelling; en<br />

• die ontwikkelingskoste kan betroubaar gemeet word.<br />

Produkontwikkelingskostes het 'n beperkte nuttige lewensduur<br />

en word teen kosprys min opgelope amortisasie gedra.<br />

Amortisasie word bereken volgens die reguitlynbasis om<br />

die kosprys van die bate oor die bate se verwagte nuttige<br />

lewensduur te allokeer, soos volg:<br />

EN MINERAALREGTE<br />

Handelsmerke, kliënteverhoudinge en mineraalregte word<br />

en mineraalregte het 'n beperkte nuttige lewensduur<br />

en word teen kosprys min opgelope amortisasie gedra.<br />

generate economic benefits exceeding costs for a period<br />

of more than one year are recognised as an intangible<br />

asset. Direct costs include software development employee<br />

costs as well as an appropriate portion of relevant overhead<br />

costs.<br />

Computer software developments costs recognised as an<br />

asset are amortised on a straight-line basis over the<br />

expected useful life thereof, as follows:<br />

1.5.3 PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT COSTS<br />

Costs relating to the development of a product are<br />

recognised as an intangible asset as soon as the following<br />

requirements have been met:<br />

• it is technically viable to complete the development<br />

of the asset to be thus applied;<br />

• the possibility exists of using or selling the intangible<br />

asset;<br />

• management intend completing the intangible asset to<br />

be thus used or sold;<br />

• the probability of future economic benefits can be<br />

demonstrated;<br />

• sufficient financial, technical and other sources exist<br />

to enable the development of the intangible asset and<br />

the use or sale thereof; and<br />

• the development costs can be reliably measured.<br />

Product development costs have a limited useful life and<br />

are carried at cost less accumulated amortisation.<br />

Amortisation is calculated on the straight-line basis to<br />

allocate the cost price of the asset over its expected useful<br />

life, as follows:<br />

1.5.4 TRADEMARKS, CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS<br />

AND MINERAL RIGHTS<br />

Trademarks, client relationships and mineral rights are<br />

shown at historical cost. Trademarks, client relationships<br />

and mineral rights have a limited useful life and are carried<br />

at cost less accumulated amortisation. Amortisation is<br />

calculated according to the straight-line basis to allocate<br />
