• Recurrent attacks<br />
– Usually slow onset<br />
– May occasionally be fast<br />
– 10% need retreatment<br />
• Risk of recurrence <strong>in</strong>creased if:<br />
– Large swell<strong>in</strong>g/severe attack<br />
– Late <strong>in</strong> course of attack<br />
– Very frequent attacks (>1/week)<br />
Always have second syr<strong>in</strong>ge available- will be effective
