Smudo (Kai's Dad)<br />
Smudo was born in 1968 in Offenbach. In 1989, he founded the "Fantastischen Vier"<br />
rap band in Stuttgart together with Michi Beck, Thomas D. and And.Y, who became<br />
Germany's leading hip-hop formation overnight with chart-topping hits "Die da" (1992)<br />
and "Sie ist weg" (1995). Their latest album "Fornika" was the No. 1 album in Germany<br />
when it was released 2007. Aside from various cameos and smaller acting roles in<br />
feature films, the irrepressible Smudo has also been adding his verve to various dubs of<br />
animated movie as a voice actor; he was a penguin in MADAGASCAR (2005) and<br />
Goudrix in ASTERIX AND THE VIKINGS (2006). Smudo is an avid race driver and<br />
hobby pilot.<br />

Maria Schrader (Kai's Mom)<br />
Maria Schrader was born in Hannover in 1965. After attending the Max Reinhardt<br />
Seminar in Vienna, she acted on the stage before her screen debut 1989 in Dani Levy's<br />
ROBBYKALLEPAUL. Among the greatest successes of her stellar career are Doris<br />
Dörrie's NOBODY LOVES ME (Bavarian and German <strong>Film</strong> Prizes 1994) and AIMÉE<br />
AND JAGUAR (Bavarian <strong>Film</strong> Prize and German <strong>Film</strong> Prize in Gold 1998, Silver Bear<br />
1999). In 2007, she had her directing debut with LOVE LIFE to great critical acclaim.<br />
