conservation in Viet nam.

-Ministry of Aquiculture
-Ministry of Education- Training
-Ministry of Public Health.
-Governments, NGOs, and volunteers
-Co-operating by projects
-Support by providing experts, technical equipments.
III. Bio-diversity protection in Viet Nam is a national responsibility
Viet Nam has signed in those international conventions and agreements:
-Bio-diversity Convention(1983)
-CITES Convention(1994)
-RAMSAR Convention(1989)
-Me Kong river Agreement(1994) and established Me Kong river Committee in Viet
Nam
-Convention about sea way transport.
-Convention about Migratory species-CMS(2001)
Nationally
-Developing and expanding conservation areas, carrying ICDP project into effect,
making programs about socio and economic, decreasing pressure from community to
bio-diversity, training, communicating about bio-diversity awareness…and recently the
government just established the Ministry of Resource and Environment.
-Doing the project” Natural reserve areas system management”(SPAM,VN00215, 01).
-Making the program of Bio-diversity awareness 2001-2010.
-Improving and reforming the law and relevant documents.
+Internationally
-Undertake responsibilities of a convention member, promote conservation activities,
protect the threatened species in the country, in South East Asia as well as in the world.
Established RAMSAR area( Xuan Thuy ) and increasing the natural reserve area…
-Developing international co-operations with those NGOs like : IUCN, WWF, FAO,
FRONTIER, FFI, BIRD LIFE.
