Advocating the Vegan Diet at Environmental Events
By Penang News Group (Originally in Chinese)
[Penang] On March 20, Golden Year 8 (2011),
The Youth Group from the Penang Chinese Town
Hall coordinated with WinSun Technologies in
organizing an environmental event at the Penang
Chinese Town Hall, which included an exhibition,
seminars and an innovative drawing competition.
Our Penang Center was invited to participate and
to organize the seminars on that day.
At their exhibition booth, our fellow initiates
displayed posters illustrating the relationship
between global warming and the livestock industry,
together with Master’s publications and a model
of an iceberg that they made. Many guests were
attracted by the Supreme Master Television programs
being played and asked for more information. The
children were especially intrigued and couldn’t take
their eyes off the screen. In addition to distributing
the SOS flyer, our group members also explained
to the guests the importance of Be Veg, Go Green 2
Save the Planet!
The main presenter at the seminar that day
was Mr. Tan Kok-Kuang, President of the Aident
Corporation, who is a very experienced public speaker. In a humorous way, he pointed out why
it is so vital that everyone adopt a compassionate plant-based diet and greatly impressed the
guests. Our Penang Center hopes that this event will inspire more people to become vegan to
help mitigate global warming.
