New ‘International’ AESSEAL ® Website After 4 months of intensive development a totally new AESSEAL ® website has been launched. The main focus for the new website was to create an international theme with many new features but at the same time make it much more easy to use. As AESSEAL ® has become more of a global company it is important that the website reflects this in the best possible way. Now, for the first time the site is available in 5 languages; English, Spanish, Italian, French and German. All users will arrive at the English homepage by typing in www.aesseal.com. Then by selecting the flags in the top right hand corner of the page the user will be directed to the language of their choice. The translated pages can also be selected by typing the correct URL extension i.e. to go to the German homepage the user would type www.aesseal.de and for Spain www.aesseal.es Product Selector: This allows the user to select a product of their choice through lists and pictures split into different categories. When a product is selected a cross section and description appears in the box below. Materials Lists: All products within the standard product range now have a full interactive materials list. This allows the user to discover the internal features of the seal. Downloads: For the first time ever all literature and all installation instruction are available to download or view online as Adobe PDF documents. Please note you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader 4 to view these. News: The old news section allowed us to show only 10 items of news. The new site has a totally new section which allows us to archive all news ever created into an easily navigable list. AESSEAL ® has added a fun element to the website in the shape of a Pacman type game. The usual Pacman has been altered into the shape of an AES man which can be moved around to eat up all the competition. The AESSEAL ® web based general arrangement drawing application suite has grown rapidly over the last twelve months. The application has enabled users to generate hundreds of drawings each month, instantly, without any direct effect on AESSEAL's resources. Online Video: The new site allows the user to view the latest version of the corporate video in 6 different sections. This will obviously run better on a wide band width connection but there is also a lower resolution version. Location Map: The new locations section allows the user to select their nearest AESSEAL ® branch or Distributor. G.A. Drawings on the AESSEAL ® Website equipment and now consists of over 187 OEM partners, offering in excess of 1550 drawing templates. The section covers AESSEAL ® “Standard products” and consists of over 20 standard seal product ranges including a single spring section with T05 product information for the "Flygt" series pumps. Practically all the standard system product ranges are also available. The software is split into two sections, under the “Application” button on the home page. The first section covers solutions for OEM Some drawings are now available in Chinese, Spanish and German. These will be further developed over the next 6 months.
Product Selection Made Easy As the AESSEAL ® product range grows ever bigger and more complex there is the problem of identifying the correct seal for an application. AESSEAL ® has now launched a Product Selector tool that allows its user to specify an AESSEAL ® Mechanical seal via a simple multiple choice method. The new tool is available to anyone who visits the AESSEAL ® website at www.aesseal.com. Once at the website the user should go to the Products section and click on the Product Selector icon. number of questions accompanied by diagrams. From here on the user is asked what is the application, whether a single or double seal is required and so on until they arrive at a named product. Once a product is identified the user has links to all other product information on the website such as literature and installation instructions. From here the user has the choice of either accessing the product information by choosing the name of the seal in a drop down menu or going through the multiple choice questions. Preferred Supplier to Mono Pumps AESSEAL ® has received preferred supplier status for the supply of cartridge mechanical seals to Mono Pumps. supplier performance and cost analysis. This award is the culmination of a project led by Dave Minshall that has lasted over 6 months. Dave said "The process involved putting together a bid which had to include historical Charles Stanley, Projects Manager for AESSEAL ® commented that “This is the route more and more pump manufacturers are taking, making it ever more important to gain this kind of preferred supplier status.” AESSEAL ® Customer Service Portal The International Sales Conference in York saw the launch of the prototype AESSEAL ® customer portal. The full launch of this service will enable AESSEAL ® customers to enquire on outstanding orders and enquiries as well as carrying out live online inventory and pricing checks. Initial trials of the portal have received a lot of positive feedback. Enquiries can be made on any of the main supply centres via the global AESSEAL ® Wide Area Network. Online access to historical and live ordering information and the ability to see whether an AESSEAL ® site can build and ship a particular seal from stock will provide a real benefit to some of the major customers of the AESSEAL ® group.
